ABERDEEN ECONOMIC BUSINESS COUNCIL INVITES BUSINESSES TO SIGN UP FOR “PAINT THE TOWN PINK” TO RAISE AWARENESS OF MAMMOGRAPHY SCREENING

The Aberdeen Economic Business Council (EBC) is encouraging area businesses to sign up for “Paint the Town Pink,”  a community-wide effort presented by Meridian Health to raise awareness of the importance of annual mammography.

Taking place throughout the month of May, “Paint the Town Pink” was created to encourage women, aged 40 and older, to have an annual mammogram, raise money to provide mammography to uninsured women in our community and make a difference in their lives.  Last year, more than 600 business owners throughout Monmouth and Ocean counties participated.

“Taking part in “Paint the Town Pink” is a wonderful way for business owners to increase awareness of the importance of annual mammograms and to raise funds to insure that all women have access to this life saving test,” said Carmine Visone, chairman of the EBC.
