ABERDEEN, NJ — Aberdeen Township is experiencing a high rate of thefts from unlocked motor vehicles, police warned on Monday, Sept. 30.
Recent car break-ins have occurred in the “C” and “I” sections of Aberdeen Township, as well as in the area of Lake Boulevard, said police.
The suspects are driving into Aberdeen and its surrounding communities in stolen cars to commit the thefts, said police. Earlier this September, an unlocked Ford Mustang was stolen from a Manalapan driveway (it was recovered a few days later in East Brunswick) and then this past Friday, Sept. 27 several cars were broken into and one car was stolen in Holmdel. That happened in the area of Line Road and Dora Lane; the stolen car has not yet been recovered, said Holmdel police.
