Aberdeen Invites Local Businesses to 'Paint the Town Pink'

The Aberdeen Township Council and Economic Business Council are inviting businesses to join Meridian Health's Paint the Town Pink program.

The Aberdeen Township Council and Economic Business Council (EBC) are encouraging local businesses to take part in "Paint the Town Pink," a community-wide effort, presented by Meridian Health, to increase awareness of the importance of annual mammography for women older than 40 and raise money to provide mammography to uninsured women.

Participation is free. Businesses can sign up online by Wednesday, April 13 or by calling (855)-PINK-411. Participating businesses will receive a listing on the Paint the Town Pink website, educational materials and decorative items that will identify them as a participating business. These items include counter signs, pink bows, window markers, educational materials and posters. Instructions for donations and a pink piggy bank are also included.

Materials will be delivered to participating businesses during the weeks of Monday, April 18 and Monday, April 25 or can be picked up at Aberdeen Town Hall during the same period.
