Aberdeen Man, 19, Killed In Rt. 18 Motorcycle Accident

A young man from Aberdeen was killed this week when he got into a motorcycle crash on Rt. 18 in Old Bridge Twp.

OLD BRIDGE, NJ — A young man from Aberdeen was killed this week when he got into a motorcycle crash on Rt. 18 in Old Bridge Twp., according to Old Bridge police.

John Flanagan, 19, of Aberdeen died Wednesday night at Raritan Bay Medical Center (Old Bridge Hospital).

The fatal accident happened at 11 p.m. Wednesday, when Flanagan's black Yamaha motorcycle, traveling north on Rt 18, failed to stop for a red light at Ferry Road, said police.

His motorcycle struck a black Lexus, which was turning left from Rt. 18 onto Ferry Road.

The teen was taken to Raritan Bay, where he did not survive his injuries.

The driver of the Lexus received minor bruises and cuts from broken glass.
