Aberdeen Man Accused Of Dragging Newark Police Officers: Video
"We will not tolerate people coming into this city to buy drugs," said Newark Public Safety Director Anthony Ambrose of the arrest.

ABERDEEN, NJ — An Aberdeen man is charged with dragging two Newark police officers with his car last Saturday after they stopped to question him about allegedly using heroin on Newark streets.
The incident happened at 2:13 a.m. last Saturday, May 18: Newark police said they responded to a call about a sick man in a car at Charleston and Spruce streets in Newark and found Jacob Wolski, 30, of Aberdeen sitting in a white midsized car registered to him.
As the officers approached the car, they noticed Wolski appeared to be using heroin, police said. When police leaned into the car to question Wolski, he sped away, dragging both officers. You can watch the video of the incident released by Newark police, below.

One officer sustained a hand injury and the other a minor head injury. Both officers were taken to the hospital and released.
“We will not tolerate people coming into this city to buy drugs,” said Newark Public Safety Director Anthony Ambrose. “We especially won’t tolerate them injuring or disrespecting our police. If they do, we will track them as quickly and as efficiently as we found this Monmouth County suspect.”

Before being allegedly assaulted, the officers recorded Wolski’s license plate and put out information to other agencies. He was arrested a short time later by Edison police and charged with possession of a controlled substance. He was then handed over to Marlboro police who had a warrant out for his arrest. Wolski is being held in Monmouth County jail.
Newark police have charged Wolski was charged with two counts of aggravated assault, resisting arrest and eluding, unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of heroin.
