Aberdeen Man Hit, Killed Monday On Rt. 9 In Marlboro Twp.
He was struck early Monday afternoon on Rt. 9 north at Willow Lane in Marlboro, said police.
MARLBORO, NJ — A 64-year-old Aberdeen Township resident was hit by a car and killed Monday on Rt. 9, according to the Monmouth County Prosecutor's office.
This happened in the early afternoon on Rt. 9 north at Willow Lane in Marlboro, said county prosecutor spokesman Mark Spivey. The Aberdeen man was walking on Rt. 9 when he was hit by the car and killed.
The Aberdeen man was not identified by name. He was pronounced dead on the scene when police and EMTs got there.

The driver who hit him was a 19-year-old Old Bridge teen, a young man. He was not named, either. Police say he remained at the scene and as of now, no charges have been filed.
Rt. 9 north in that area remained closed for several hours Monday.

The fatal collision is still being investigated by the Prosecutor’s Office and Marlboro Police.
