Aberdeen, Marlboro Men Apprehended In Hwy. 34 McDonald's Break-In

Police say they robbed the Rt. 34 McDonald's Wednesday night. They were apprehended within 24 hours.

ABERDEEN, NJ — Aberdeen Twp. Police just announced Friday morning they have now apprehended the two young man who they say robbed the Rt. 34 McDonald's on Wednesday night.

Ryan Nevins, of Aberdeen Township, and Marcel Vonn, of Marlboro, were taken into police custody. Police did not release the charges against them or their ages, but they are in their late teens to early twenties.

They are accused of breaking into the McDonald's and robbing it this past Wednesday evening, July 12.

Within 24 hours:

"On July 13 our detectives developed a series of leads regarding the possible location of our two robbery suspects from the day prior," said Aberdeen Police. "That information was subsequently relayed to the patrol division. At approximately 17:00 hours (5 p.m.), Ptl. Cleaves observed a male fitting the description of our wanted person on foot within the Township. After stopping him, a positive identification was made and (Nevins) was arrested without incident."

After Nevins was arrested, police learned the identity and residence of Vonn and the Marlboro young man was arrested without incident.

Both young men were taken to the Monmouth Country Jail in Freehold.
