Aberdeen Officials Celebrate Grand Opening of Brooklyn Bagelry
Members of the Aberdeen Economic Business Council and township officials gathered to celebrate the grand opening of The Brooklyn Bagelry.

Members of the Aberdeen Economic Business Council (EBC) and township officials gathered to celebrate the grand opening of The Brooklyn Bagelry, the first store to open at The Link, the new residential-retail transit village at the Aberdeen-Matawan NJ Transit station.
Joining owner Chris Zaires and Larry Lee at the EBC-coordinated event were: Mayor Fred Tagliarini, Deputy Mayor Robert Swindle, Councilwoman Margaret Montone, and EBC member Maxine Rescorl.
Serving residents and commuters, The Brooklyn Bagelry is a full-service grill and deli offering a variety of bagels/bialys, baked goods, breakfast sandwiches, breakfast platters, specialty sandwiches, deli sandwiches, cream cheese spreads and salads by the pound, salad platters, grill and fryer specialties, and beverages.

The family-owned and operated business was founded over 40 years ago in Brooklyn, N.Y., where it continues to operate. This is the company's first location in New Jersey, with a second Garden State store opening in Hoboken next month.
The Brooklyn Bagelry is located just steps from the station at 21 Schindler Drive. It is open Monday to Friday from 5:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. They can be reached at (732) 970-8140.
