Aberdeen Police Arrest Keyport Man On Drug Charge

Aberdeen police charged a Monmouth County man with drug possession after they pulled him over on Lloyd Road, authorities said.

According to a news release from Chief John T. Powers:

Stephen D. Slack, 38, of Main Street, Keyport, was arrested Wednesday.

Around 3:20 p.m., Detective Anthony Valentino stopped a 2002 Chevrolet Impala driven by Slack.

After further investigation police determined Slack had a plastic baggie containing suspected cocaine and another containing suspected crack cocaine.

He was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance. He was also issued summonses charging him with possession of CDS in a motor vehicle and having a view obstruction.

The vehicle was seized, pending forfeiture proceedings.

His bail was set at $10,000. He was released after posting a bail bond.

Valentino was assisted by Officers Mary Johnston, Michael Plant, and Charles Trucillo, and Sgt. David Mauro.
