Aberdeen police recently investigated cases of fraud, assault, harassing text messages and a burglary.

Aberdeen police investigated cases of fraud, assault, harassing text messages and a burglary between April 1 and April 7.
During that time frame, Aberdeen police officers handled 353 calls for service, including 16 suspicious people or vehicles, 16 alarms, 14 first aid calls, 13 motor vehicle crashes, seven disorderly persons, three domestic violence incidents, one theft, four noise complaints, one burglary, two frauds, two welfare checks, and 145 motor vehicle stops. Officers issued 95 motor vehicle summonses.

April 1
Officer Craig Hausmann took a 17-year-old Marlboro resident into custody for violation of the township curfew ordinance following an incident at the 7-Eleven store on Route 34.

A 17-year-old township resident was charged with possession of hyrdrocodone following a motor vehicle stop on Cliffwood Avenue. Officer Matthew McDow took the teen into custody.
Officer Mary Johnston responded to a report of harassment on Avalon Lane.
A Gaston Street resident reported that sometime during the night someone entered his vehicle and took clothing. Officer Raymond Campbell took the report.
An Overlea Lane resident reported receiving harassing text messages. Officer Matthew McDow responded.
April 2
A 34-year-old township woman was arrested on a contempt warrant out of Aberdeen Municipal Court. Officer Raymond Campbell was the arresting officer.
Officer John Young responded to a trespassing complaint on Beach Drive.
A Hawthorne Street resident reported she wired money to a company to secure a personal loan. The company demanded more funds and then refused to return the original amount. Officer John Young took the report.

April 3
Gina Lena, 31, of Aberdeen, was arrested on charges of shoplifting on three occasions at the ShopRite store on Lloyd Road. Detective Anthony Valentino was the arresting officer.
Officer John Zeller arrested a 26-year-old township man on a contempt warrant out of East Orange Municipal Court.
A 15-year-old township resident was charged with simple assault following an incident at Ken Gardens on Matawan Avenue. Officer Frank Maisano took the teen into custody.
Jennifer L. Owens, 42, Union Beach, was arrested on a violation of probation warrant issued out of Ocean County Superior Court following a motor vehicle stop on Route 35. Officer Roger Peter made the arrest.
A Lenox Road resident reported receiving harassing text messages. Officer Jessica McDougall responded.
April 4
Damian C. Pineyro, 25, Aberdeen, was charged with hindering his own apprehension following a motor vehicle stop on Cliffwood Avenue. He was also wanted on a contempt warrant out of Toms River Municipal Court. Officer John Zeller was the arresting officer.
Officer Hank Chevalier responded to a report of an assault on Beaver Place.
It was reported that sometime during the night someone spray-painted the side of a business on Church Street. Officer Hank Chevalier took the report.
April 5
Officer Charles Trucillo arrested a 26-year-old Keansburg man on a contempt warrant out of East Brunswick Municipal Court.
Safeer D. Gumbs, 20, Aberdeen, was charged with terroristic threats. He is accused of threatening Officer Roger Peter during the investigation of a hit-and-run crash that took place on Amboy Avenue.
April 6
A 52-year-old township woman was charged with simple assault following an incident on West Aspen Way. Officer Hank Chevalier was the arresting officer.
A 33-year-old South Amboy man was charged with possession of marijuana, consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle, and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle following an incident on Milton Avenue. Officer Frank Maisano was the arresting officer.
Officer Frank Maisano arrested a 17-year-old township resident on a contempt warrant out of Monmouth County Superior Court.
A resident of Strathmore Gardens on South Atlantic Avenue reported someone attempted to enter his apartment by prying open the front door. Officer Hank Chevalier responded.
April 7
Officer Bart Szulczynski arrested a 53-year-old Middletown man on a contempt warrant out of Old Bridge Municipal Court following an incident at the Court Jester, Route 34.
Officer John Young arrested a 32-year-old township woman on a contempt warrant out of Marlboro Municipal Court.
A Garden Place resident reported someone threw eggs at her house. Officer Darryl Richardson took the report.
