Aberdeen police are investigating reports of criminal mischief, the theft of medication, and cases of fraud.

Aberdeen police are investigating reports of criminal mischief, the theft of medication, and cases of fraud.

Between Aug. 5 and Aug. 11, Aberdeen police handled 363 calls for service, including 21 suspicious persons/vehicles, 16 alarms, 18 first aid calls, 11 motor vehicle crashes, six disorderly persons, six domestic violence incidents, seven thefts, six noise complaints, one fraud, five welfare checks, two criminal mischief incidents, and 113 motor vehicle stops. Officers issued 101 motor vehicle summonses.

Aug. 5

Officer Raymond Campbell arrested a 37-year-old township man on charges of simple assault and obstruction of justice in connection with an incident on Matawan Avenue on July 30. A 25-year-old Aberdeen woman was charged with obstruction of justice in connection with the same incident.

Edward Hines III, 22, Holmdel, was charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, and assault by auto after a motor vehicle crash on Route 35. Officer John Zeller was the arresting officer.

Officer Raymond Campbell also investigated.
 Officer Bart Szulczynski arrested a 54-year-old township man on a contempt warrant out of Aberdeen municipal court.

Officer Mary Johnston responded to a report of fraud at a County Road business.


Officer John Young investigated the theft of two bicycles from a Beaver Place residence.

Aug. 6


Officer Matthew McDow arrested a 20-year-old township woman on a contempt warrant out of Sayreville municipal court following an incident on Woolley Street.


A 35-year-old Hazlet man was arrested for violation of a court order following an incident on Laurelhurst Drive on Aug. 2. Detective Anthony Valentino was the arresting officer.


Aug. 7


Officer Craig Hausmann arrested a 59-year-old Matawan man on a contempt warrant out of Aberdeen municipal court.


Officer Raymond Campbell arrested a 26-year-old Matawan woman on a contempt warrant out of Aberdeen municipal court following an incident on South Concourse.


Officer Bart Szulczynski arrested a 20-year-old Lyndhurst man on a contempt warrant out of Lyndhurst municipal court following an incident on the beachfront.


A Wellington Place resident reported the theft of medication that was supposed to be delivered. Officer Matthew McDow took the report.


A resident of Deerfield Lane reported that a contractor failed to complete work on his house after having received a deposit. Officer Matthew McDow took the report.


Aug. 8

Officer Raymond Campbell arrested a 35-year-old Rahway man on contempt warrants out of Aberdeen and Tinton Falls municipal courts.


A 25-year-old township man was arrested for criminal mischief following an incident on South Concourse. Officer Martin Walsh was the arresting officer.

Officer Martin Walsh responded to a report of a disorderly person at a Stevenson Avenue residence.


A Cliffwood Avenue resident reported she received harassing and threatening text messages. Officer Charles Trucillo took the report.


A Deerfield Lane resident reported that his car was spray-painted. Officer Gus Grivas responded.


It was reported that sometime during the night someone damaged a sign in front of the Goodwill Industries building on Route 35. Officer Brian Alberti took the report.


Aug. 9

A 40-year-old Lakeshore Drive woman was arrested on a contempt warrant out of Monmouth County Superior Court. Officer Hank Chevalier was the arresting officer.


Officer Roger Peter arrested a 52-year-old Matawan man on a contempt warrant out of Aberdeen municipal court.

Officer Brian Alberti responded to a report of harassment on North Concourse.


Aug. 10


Officer Hank Chevalier arrested a 51-year-old Middletown woman for disorderly conduct following an incident at the Goodwill store, Route 35.

A resident of Atlantic Avenue reported that someone had used her identity to file a fraudulent income tax return with the IRS. Officer Jessica McDougall took the report.


Aug. 11


Officer Gus Grivas arrested a 35-year-old Keansburg man on a contempt warrant out of Aberdeen municipal court.


Officer Charles Trucillo investigated the theft of a bicycle from Ken Gardens, Matawan Avenue.


Officer Jessica McDougall responded to a report of suspicious activity at Strathmore Gardens, South Atlantic Avenue.
