Aberdeen police recently arrested defendants on burglary, DWI, and assault charges.
Aberdeen police handled 788 calls for service between Aug. 26 and Sept. 8, including 31 suspicious persons/vehicles, 36 alarms; 35 first aid calls, 19 motor vehicle crashes, 10 disorderly persons, two burglaries, six domestic violence incidents, four thefts, 16 noise complaints, two frauds, eight welfare checks, two criminal mischief incidents, and 333 motor vehicle stops. Officers issued 263 motor vehicle summonses.

Aug. 26
Officer Gus Grivas arrested a 33-year-old township man on a contempt warrant out of Aberdeen municipal court.

Aug. 27
Officer Charles Trucillo arrested a 56-year-old Marlboro man on contempt warrants out of Aberdeen, Tinton Falls, Newark, and South Amboy municipal courts.
Officer Jessica McDougall arrested a 28-year-old Perth Amboy woman on a contempt warrant out of Aberdeen municipal court following a motor vehicle stop on Route 35.
Two juveniles were taken into custody after they were found intoxicated in Ivyhill Park. Officer Charles Trucillo investigated.
Andre T. Martin, Jr., 34, of Somerset, was charged with driving while intoxicated, careless driving, refusal to submit to a breath test, driving while license suspended, and other motor vehicle offenses after a motor vehicle stop on South Atlantic Avenue. Officer Craig Hausmann was the arresting officer.
Aug. 30
Officer Frank Maisano arrested a 36-year-old Old Bridge woman on a contempt warrant out of East Brunswick municipal court following a motor vehicle stop on Route 35.
Officer John Young arrested a 26-year-old township woman on a contempt warrant out of Aberdeen municipal court. A 55-year-old township man was charged with simple assault following an incident on Matawan Avenue. Officer John Young was the arresting officer.
Aug. 31
Officer Raymond Campbell arrested a 19-year-old Matawan man for possession of drug paraphernalia following a motor vehicle stop on Ivyhill Drive.
Sept. 1
Two township men, ages 19 and 20, were charged with criminal trespass, criminal mischief, and underage possession of alcohol following an incident at the Lloyd Road School. Officers Bart Szulczynski and Edgar Serrano were the arresting officers.
Sept. 2
Officer Frank Maisano arrested a 27-year-old Keyport man on a contempt warrant out of Aberdeen municipal court.
Sept. 4
Officer Jessica McDougall arrested a 54-year-old township man on a contempt warrant out of Aberdeen municipal court following an incident at the A&P shopping center on Route 35.
Sept. 5
Jeanmarie Malanga, 44, Union Beach, was charged with driving while intoxicated, refusal to submit to a breath test, speeding, reckless driving, and failure to inspect after a motor vehicle stop on Cliffwood Avenue. Officer Craig Hausmann was the arresting officer. Officer Martin Walsh assisted.
Officer Jessica McDougall arrested a 27-year-old Old Bridge man on a contempt warrant out of Aberdeen municipal court. John Steven Dreher, 47, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, was charged with being a fugitive from justice following a motor vehicle stop on Aberdeen Road. Dreher was wanted as a fugitive in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. He was taken into custody and committed to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution in default of $150,000 bail, pending extradition proceedings. Officer John Zeller was the arresting officer.
Sept. 6
Glenn Williams, 52, Aberdeen, was charged with driving while intoxicated, possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle, failure to wear a seatbelt, reckless driving, uninsured vehicle, and obstructing traffic after a motor vehicle stop on South Atlantic Avenue. Williams and his passenger, Henry Mitchell, 62, Old Bridge, were charged with possession of crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia. Bail was set for both men at $7,500. They were committed to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution in default of bail. Officer Frank Maisano was the arresting officer.
Matthew A. Siliato, 26, Staten Island, was charged with driving while intoxicated, driving while suspended, speeding, careless driving, failure to exhibit a driver’s license, and obstructing his own apprehension after a motor vehicle stop on Route 35. Detective Anthony Valentino was the arresting officer. Officer John Zeller assisted.
Monica L. Mettrock, 48, and Jason P. Mettrock, 21, both of Aberdeen, were charged with burglary, theft, and obstruction of justice following an incident at a residence on Sherwood Drive. Mr. Mettrock was also wanted on a contempt warrant out of Aberdeen municipal court. Officers John Young and Gus Grivas were the arresting officers. Walter D. CastroMartinez, 33, Elizabeth, was charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, failure to exhibit a registration, driving without headlights, and improper safety glass after a motor vehicle stop on Route 35. Officer Bart Szulczynski was the arresting officer.
Sept. 7
A 34-year-old township woman was charged with simple assault following an incident on Gerard Avenue. Officer Matthew McDow was the arresting officer.
