Aberdeen police said they recently investigated cases of rock-throwing, harassment, broken windows, and shoplifting.
Police said they responded to or initiated 295 calls for service between April 8 and April 14, including nine suspicious persons/vehicles, seven alarms, 15 first aid calls, nine motor vehicle crashes, four disorderly persons, three domestic violence incidents, one theft, two noise complaints, three criminal mischief incidents, one fraud, four welfare checks, and 115 motor vehicle stops. Officers issued 96 motor vehicle summonses.

April 8
A Margaret Street resident reported someone used his social security number to fraudulently file an income tax return. Officer John Young took the report.

A Lloyd Road resident reported receiving harassing phone calls from a solicitor. Officer John Young responded.
April 9
An Ivy Way resident reported receiving a threatening phone call from someone purporting to be from the IRS. Officer John Young took the report.
April 10
A 38-year-old Bayonne man was arrested on a contempt warrant out of Aberdeen municipal court. Officer Raymond Campbell was the arresting officer.
A 29-year-old South Amboy woman was arrested on a contempt warrant out of Aberdeen municipal court. Officer Darryl Richardson was the arresting officer.
A 28-year-old Sayreville man was arrested on a contempt warrant out of Aberdeen municipal court. Officer Christopher DeSarno was the arresting officer.
Officer Charles Trucillo arrested a 55-year-old township man on a contempt warrant out of Aberdeen municipal court.
An Old Bridge woman reported she had been harassed and her car was damaged during an incident on Parva Place the previous evening. Officer John Young took the report.
Officer Darryl Richardson responded to a report that an Old Bridge teenager had been assaulted by older youths at the McDonald’s restaurant on Route 35.
A resident of Tree Haven III apartments on Aberdeen Road reported receiving threatening and harassing text messages. Officer Charles Trucillo responded.
April 11
Officer Hank Chevalier arrested a 60-year-old township woman on a contempt warrant out of Freehold Borough municipal court.
Officer Gus Grivas responded to a report of harassment at Ken Gardens apartments, Matawan Avenue.
It was reported that someone threw a rock through a glass door at the former Aberdeen First Aid building on Prospect Avenue. Officer Frank Maisano responded.
April 12
A 47-year-old Keyport woman was arrested for shoplifting at the Stop and Shop store on Route 34. Officer John Zeller was the arresting officer.
Officer Charles Trucillo responded to a report of harassment on Sweetbriar Street.
Officer Christopher DeSarno responded to a report of disorderly conduct on West Prospect Avenue.
April 13
A 19-year-old Union Beach man was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle following a motor vehicle stop on Cliffwood Avenue. Officer Frank Maisano was the arresting officer.
A Highlands resident reported that someone broke her car window while it was parked on Salem Place. Officer Jessica McDougall responded.
April 14

Someone broke a window at a residence on Sweetbriar Street. Officer Jessica McDougall responded.
