Aberdeen recently charged defendants with DWI, assault and drug offenses.

Aberdeen police recently arrested residents of Middlesex and Monmouth counties on DWI charges, investigated drug cases, and charged several people with assault.
Between May 20 and May 26, Aberdeen police handled 465 calls for service, including 13 suspicious persons/vehicles, 22 alarms, 12 first aid calls, 14 motor vehicle crashes, nine disorderly persons, one domestic violence incident, one burglary, four thefts, eight noise complaints, two frauds, three welfare checks, one criminal mischief incident, and 218 motor vehicle stops. Officers issued 239 motor vehicle summonses.

May 20
A 35-year-old township man was charged with simple assault following an incident Strathmore Gardens, South Atlantic Avenue. Officer Darryl Richardson was the arresting officer.

Officer John Young arrested a 43-year-old Toms River woman on contempt warrants out of Aberdeen municipal court.
Officer Matthew McDow arrested a 23-year-old Long Branch man on a contempt warrant out of Aberdeen municipal court.
May 21
Sgt. Matthew Lloyd arrested a 44-year-old Tinton Falls man on a contempt warrant out of Keansburg municipal court following a motor vehicle stop on County Road.
A 29-year-old township man was arrested on a charge of simple assault related to an incident on Riverdale Drive on May 17. Detective Anthony Valentino was the arresting officer.
Officer Charles Trucillo arrested a 53-year-old Aberdeen man on a contempt warrant out of Aberdeen municipal court following an incident on Route 34.
May 22
Sarah K. Ruddy, 30, of Metuchen, was arrested on a charge of obstruction of justice related to a May 16 incident at the WaWa store on Route. 35. She was also found to be wanted for contempt out of Linden and Long Hill municipal courts. Officer John Zeller was the arresting officer.
Detective Anthony Valentino charged Alina S. Alma, 24, New York, New York, with possession of marijuana.
Wayne M. Tuman, 50, of Englishtown, was charged with driving while intoxicated, refusal to submit to a breath test, reckless driving, failure to maintain lane, and failure to exhibit registration and insurance following a motor vehicle stop on Gerard Avenue. Officer John Zeller made the arrest.
A 60-year-old Matawan man and Stop and Shop employee was charged with theft from the store on Route 34. Officer Frank Maisano was the arresting officer.
Officer Edgar Serrano arrested a 26-year-old township woman on a contempt warrant out of Woodbridge municipal court.
May 23
A 20-year-old Hazlet man was charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia following a motor vehicle stop on Route 35. Officer Frank Maisano was the arresting officer.
Officer Charles Trucillo arrested a 43-year-old township man on a contempt warrant out of Aberdeen municipal court.
Officer John Zeller arrested a 36-year-old Scotch Plains man on a contempt warrant out of Scotch Plains municipal court.
May 24
Officer Charles Trucillo arrested a 24-year-old Old Bridge man on a contempt warrant out of Aberdeen municipal court.
A 29-year-old township woman was arrested for disorderly conduct following an incident at the Blue Rock Café, Amboy Avenue. Officer Frank Maisano was the arresting officer.

May 25
James N. Norris, 46, of East Brunswick, was charged with driving while intoxicated, refusal to submit to a breath test, reckless driving, driving while suspended, and failure to exhibit registration and insurance following a motor vehicle stop on Seawood Drive. Officer Frank Maisano made the arrest.
Officer Craig Hausmann arrested a 20-year-old Hopelawn man on a contempt warrant out of Wildwood municipal court.
Michael C. Byrne, 40, of Matawan, was charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, driving while suspended, failure to exhibit registration and insurance, and possession of drug paraphernalia following a motor vehicle stop on Route 35. He was also wanted on a contempt warrant out of Aberdeen municipal court. Officer Matthew McDow made the arrest.
Officer Mary Johnston arrested a 19-year-old township man on a contempt warrant out of Brick municipal court.
Officer Matthew McDow arrested a 36-year-old Staten Island man on a contempt warrant out of Aberdeen municipal court.
May 26
A 34-year-old Hazlet man was charged with violation of a court order following an incident on Atlantic Avenue. Officer Bart Szulczynski was the arresting officer.
A 24-year-old Sayreville woman was charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia following a motor vehicle stop on Lloyd Road. Officer Raymond Campbell was the arresting officer.
