ABERDEEN, NJ — Released by Aberdeen police, and unedited by Patch, all the arrests and incidents in the Township from April 25 through May 1:

  • On April 25 a 73-year-old Old Bridge woman was arrested for issuing bad checks at the ShopRite store on Lloyd Rd. Det. Anthony Valentino was the arresting officer.
  • P.O. Mohamed Mahmoud arrested a 42-year-old Keyport man on a contempt warrant out of Aberdeen municipal court on April 25.
  • Special Officer Michael Rzigalinski arrested a 27-year-old Springfield man on a contempt warrant out of Aberdeen municipal court on April 26.
  • Frederick P. Colabella, 62, Old Bridge, was charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, leaving the scene of an accident, and several other motor vehicle offenses following a motor vehicle crash on Hwy. 35 and Amboy Ave. on April 26. P.O. Edgar Serrano was the arresting officer. There were no injuries and he struck three traffic signs and some railroad ties on an adjacent commercial property, police said.
  • A 30-year-old Colts Neck man was arrested on a contempt warrant out of Upper Freehold Township municipal court following a motor vehicle stop on Cliffwood Ave. on April 27. P.O. Matthew McDow was the arresting officer.
  • A 20-year-old Township woman was charged with simple assault following an incident Netherwood Dr. on April 27. P.O. Anthony Marone was the arresting officer.
  • P.O. Ronald Osadacz arrested a 36-year-old Township woman on a contempt warrant out of Aberdeen municipal court following an incident on Milton Ave. on April 28.
  • P.O. Anthony Marone charged Spencer V. Pitt, Jr., 56, Aberdeen, with violation of a court order following an incident at Strathmore Gardens, South Atlantic Ave., on April 28.
  • P.O. John Zeller arrested a 19-year-old township man on a contempt warrant out of Aberdeen municipal court on April 29.
  • P.O. Edgar Serrano arrested a 21-year-old Matawan man on a contempt warrant out of Aberdeen municipal court on May 1.
  • Angelo J. Torres, 33, Newark, was arrested on May 1 for violation of a court order related to an incident on Irongate Lane on January 16. He was also wanted on contempt warrants out of several jurisdictions. P.O. Bruce Monro was the arresting officer.

Other police activity during that period included:

  • Officers responded to nine motor vehicle crashes between April 25 and May 1 at the following locations: Lloyd Rd./ Church St., Lloyd Rd./Hwy. 34, Hwy. 34/Cambridge Dr., Grove St., Hwy. 35/Amboy Ave. (2), Hwy. 35/County Rd., Locust St./Cliffwood Ave., and Church St./Bailey Ct.

Officers responded to or initiated 364 calls for service between April 25 and May 1, 2018, including six suspicious persons/vehicles; 14 alarms; 22 first aid calls; four domestic violence incidents, five noise complaints, three disorderly persons, four burglaries, three thefts, nine motor vehicle crashes, three frauds, four welfare checks, three crisis intervention calls, one overdose, and 95 motor vehicle stops. Officers issued 100 summonses.
