ABERDEEN, NJ — Aberdeen Township Police made the following arrests August 1, 2018 through August 7, 2018:
- On August 1 Det. Anthony Valentino arrested a 26-year-old North Brunswick man for a theft that took place at the Krauszer’s store on North Concourse on July 16.
- A 22-year-old South Amboy man was charged with possession of marijuana following a motor vehicle stop on Hwy. 35 on August 1. He was also charged with driving while suspended and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle. P.O. Nicholas DaRocha was the arresting officer.
- A 54-year-old township man was charged with aggravated assault following an incident on Fayette Lane on August 2. P.O. Anthony Marone was the arresting officer.
- On August 3 Det. Anthony Valentino arrested a 30-year-old township woman for shoplifting at the Shop Rite store on Lloyd Rd. in June.
- On August 3 Det. Anthony Valentino arrested a 47-year-old Marlboro woman for shoplifting at the Shop Rite store on Lloyd Rd. in July.
- A 38-year-old man from Aberdeen was charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, and driving an unregistered vehicle following a motor vehicle stop on Lower Main St. on August 3. P.O. Ronald Osadacz was the arresting officer.
- A 60-year-old man from South Amboy was charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, driving while suspended following a motor vehicle crash on Hwy. 35 on August 3. Both the driver and his passenger showed signs they were suffering from an overdose and responding officers administered Narcan. Special Officer Brian Mason was the arresting officer, with assistance from P.O.s Edgar Serrano and Ronald Osadacz.
- A 53-year-old township man was charged with terroristic threats and weapons offenses following an incident on Woodland Dr. on August 4. P.O. Nicholas DaRocha was the arresting officer.
Other police activity during that period included:
Officers responded to or initiated 298 calls for service between August 1 and August 7, 2018, including 12 suspicious persons/vehicles; 27 alarms; 15 first aid calls; five domestic violence incidents, two thefts, six criminal mischief incidents, five noise complaints, eight disorderly persons, one burglary, one fraud, eight motor vehicle crashes, one crisis intervention call, and 76 motor vehicle stops. Officers issued 83 summonses.
