Aberdeen Police Blotter, Aug. 22 - Aug. 28

Released by Aberdeen police and unedited by Patch, all the arrests in the past week:

ABERDEEN, NJ — Aberdeen Township Police made the following arrests August 22, 2018 through August 28, 2018:

  • A 50-year-old Blackwood woman was charged with possession of crack cocaine following a motor vehicle stop on Aberdeen Rd. on August 23. She was also wanted on contempt warrants issued out of Washington Twp., Deptford, and Bellmawr municipal courts. P.O. s Bruce Monro and Mohamed Mahmoud were the arresting officers with assistance from Matawan P.O. Joseph Mason and his K-9 partner Blade.
  • P.O. Jessica McDougall arrested a 47-year-old Old Bridge man on a contempt warrant out of East Brunswick municipal court following a motor vehicle stop on South Atlantic Ave. on August 23.
  • A 27-year-old Long Branch man was charged with the attempted burglary of vehicles parked at the Aberdeen train station on August 24. Special Officer Brian Mason was the arresting officer. Matawan P.O.s Bodnar and Dayback assisted.
  • On August 24 Special Officer Brian Mason arrested a 31-year-old Long Branch woman on a contempt warrant out of Aberdeen municipal court.
  • P.O. Anthony Marone arrested a 21-year-old East Brunswick woman on a contempt warrant out of Hazlet municipal court following a motor vehicle stop on County Rd. on August 26.
  • A 47-year-old township man was charged with harassment following an incident at Chelsea Village apartments on Cross Rd. on August 26. P.O. William Novak was the arresting officer.
  • A 30-year-old township man was charged with harassment and criminal mischief following an incident at Chelsea Village apartments on Cross Rd. on August 28. P.O. Anthony Marone was the arresting officer. P.O. Raymond Campbell conducted the initial investigation.

Other police activity during that period included:

  • On August 22 a resident of Church St. reported that someone had entered his residence and took furniture, a laptop computer, a television, and other appliances valued at approximately $7,000. P.O. Ronald Osadacz responded.
  • On August 25 a Cliffwood Ave. resident reported someone spray-painted graffiti on his garage. Special Officer Brian Mason took the report.
  • On August 28 it was reported that, sometime during the night of August 26-27, someone entered a residence on Woodmere Drive and took over $2,000 worth of power and hand tools. P.O. Gus Grivas took the report.

Officers responded to or initiated 293 calls for service between August 22 and August 28, 2018, including seven suspicious persons/vehicles; 15 alarms; 19 first aid calls; four domestic violence incidents, two burglaries, two criminal mischief incidents, nine disorderly persons, two frauds, ten motor vehicle crashes, one crisis intervention call, one overdose, and 118 motor vehicle stops. Officers issued 81 summonses.
