Aberdeen Township Police made the following arrests August 23 through August 29, 2017:

ABERDEEN, NJ — Aberdeen Township Police made the following arrests August 23 through August 29, 2017:

  • A 22-year-old Township woman was arrested on a contempt warrant out of Monmouth Beach municipal court on August 23. P.O. Ronald Osadacz, Jr. was the arresting officer.
  • A 27-year-old Township man was charged with harassment following an incident on Lower Main St. on August 24. P.O. John Young made the arrest.
  • On August 24 P.O. Jessica McDougall arrested a 19-year-old Township man for obstruction of justice following an incident on West Prospect Ave.
  • On August 25 Eric Fernandez, 31, Bloomfield, was arrested for burglary and theft of a credit card related to an incident at Tab Ramos Sports Center, Blair Rd. on July 30. Det. Louis Nanna was the arresting officer.
  • Jorge A. Rosales-Lopez, 32, of Hyattsville, MD, was charged with driving while intoxicated, refusal to submit to a breath test, reckless driving, and possession of cocaine following a motor vehicle crash on Hwy. 35 on August 26. P.O. Raymond Campbell was the arresting officer.
  • A 30-year-old Long Branch woman was charged with simple assault following an incident at Chelsea Village apartments on Cross Rd. on August 26. P.O. Craig Hausmann made the arrest.
  • A 34-year-old Howell man was arrested on a contempt warrant out of Keansburg municipal court following an incident on County Rd. on August 26. P.O. Frank Maisano was the arresting officer.
  • Antonio J. Silva, 18, Aberdeen, was charged with aggravated assault on a police officer, resisting arrest, and obstruction of justice following an incident on Beverly Drive on August 26. P.O. Frank Maisano was the arresting officer with assistance from P.O. Jeffrey Griffith and Sgt. David Mauro.

Other police activity during that period included:

  • On August 24 a resident of Lorraine Drive reported the theft of two watches. P.O. Hank Chevalier responded.
  • P.O. John Zeller responded to a report of harassment on Woodmere Drive on August 25.
  • On August 25 a Matawan resident reported someone fraudulently withdrew money from his account at TD Bank on Hwy. 34. Special Officer Michael Rzigalinski took the report.
  • On August 26 a resident of Beverly Drive reported the theft of a game console. P.O. Frank Maisano responded.
  • P.O. Jeffrey Griffith responded to a report of harassment the Wawa store on Hwy. 35 on August 28.
  • P.O. Craig Hausmann responded to a report of simple assault at Tree Haven III apartments, Aberdeen Rd. on August 28.
  • On August 29 a resident of Peachtree Village reported she purchased a dog online which was to be shipped to her from Ohio. When she did not receive the dog she contacted the seller, who demanded more money. P.O. Darryl Richardson took the report.

Officers responded to or initiated 294 calls for service between August 23 and August 29, 2017, including 17 suspicious persons/vehicles; 14 alarms; 17 first aid calls; two domestic violence incidents, one robbery, eleven noise complaints, six disorderly persons, six motor vehicle crashes, three frauds, two welfare checks, two thefts, ten crisis intervention calls, and 103 motor vehicle stops. Officers issued 97 motor vehicle summonses.
