Aberdeen Police Blotter, Jan. 10 - Jan. 23

There was a drug overdose on North Concourse on January 19; Narcan was not used and the person was taken to Bayshore. More:

ABERDEEN, NJ — The Aberdeen Township Police made the following arrests January 10, 2018 through January 23, 2018:

  • P.O. Darryl Richardson arrested a 46-year-old Freehold woman on a contempt warrant out of Aberdeen municipal court on January 10.
  • P.O. Bruce Monro charged a 22-year-old Monroe man with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, driving an unregistered vehicle, failure to wear a seatbelt, and operating a motor vehicle while in possession of a controlled dangerous substance following a motor vehicle stop on Hwy. 34 on January 10. The officer was assisted by a Holmdel PD K-9 unit.
  • P.O. Craig Hausmann arrested a 22-year-old Lakewood woman on a contempt warrant out of Aberdeen municipal court on January 11.
  • On January 12 a 19-year-old Eatontown man and an 18-year-old Matawan woman were charged with shoplifting at the Shop Rite store on Lloyd Rd. P.O. Mary Johnston was the arresting officer.
  • A 35-year-old Aberdeen man was arrested on contempt warrants out of Aberdeen and Old Bridge municipal courts following a motor vehicle stop on Lloyd Rd. on January 14. P.O. Roger Peter was the arresting officer.
  • On January 16 a 65-year-old Morganville woman was charged with shoplifting at the Shop Rite store on Lloyd Rd. P.O. Anthony Marone was the arresting officer.
  • A 26-year-old Red Bank man was arrested on a contempt warrant out of Keansburg Rahway municipal court following an incident at Barrington Gardens on Aberdeen Rd. on January 17. P.O. Frank Maisano was the arresting officer.
  • On January 17 a 27-year-old Matawan woman was charged with shoplifting at the Shop Rite store on Lloyd Rd. P.O. Bart Szulczynski was the arresting officer.
  • A 24-year-old Howell man was arrested on a non-support warrant out of Ocean County Superior Court and a 49-year-old Florida man was arrested on contempt warrants out of Wall and Long Beach municipal courts following a motor vehicle stop on Hwy. 35. on January 18. P.O.s Bruce Monro and Mohamed Mahmoud were the arresting officers.
  • P.O. Mohamed Mahmoud arrested a 19-year-old Newark man on a contempt warrant out of Aberdeen municipal court on January 18.
  • Special Officer Michael Rzigalinski arrested a 39-year-old Rahway man on a contempt warrant out of Aberdeen municipal court on January 22.

Other police activity during that period included:

  • Officers responded to 15 motor vehicle crashes over the two-week period. The locations were: Edgeview Rd., Hwy. 34/Lloyd Rd., Hwy. 35/Cliffwood Ave., Cliffwood Ave./Beverly Dr, Lloyd Rd./Church St., Van Brakle Rd./Duda Lane, Cliffwood Ave./Glassworks Blvd., and New Brunswick Ave./Willow Ave. There were seven crashes in various parking lots.
  • On January 11 a Sweetbriar St. resident reported someone entered the residence and took a television and a lamp. P.O. Bart Szulczynski and Det. Anthony Valentino investigated.
  • On January 12 a resident of Woodland Drive reported the theft of a television and a game system. P.O. Bart Szulczynski investigated.
  • On January 15 an employee of a construction company on County Rd. reported that sometime during the night someone broke into a storage unit on the property and took several coils of copper tubing and brass fittings. The thieves also stole a Ford truck from the yard. P.O. Ronald Osadacz conducted the initial investigation. Det. Louis Nanna is investigating.
  • On January 16 a resident of Idlewild Lane reported receiving a phone call from a person pretending to be her son claiming to be under arrest in Chicago and he need to be bailed out. The victim was instructed to purchase $4,000 in Best Buy gift cards and give the information to a person purporting to be a public defender. The victim contacted her son directly and the transaction was cancelled. P.O. Edgar Serrano responded.
  • On January 19 a Cliffwood Ave. resident reported a male subject entered his home in the early morning hours and took prescription medication and a deer camera from an unsecured safe. P.O. Craig Hausmann and Det. Anthony Valentino investigated.
  • P.O. Bruce Monro responded to a report of a drug overdose on North Concourse on January 19. The individual was transported to Bayshore Community Hospital.
  • On January 21 a resident of Independence Drive reported someone used his identity to purchase two cellular phones. P.O. Roger Peter took the report.

Officers responded to or initiated 652 calls for service between January 10 and January 23, 2018, including 19 suspicious persons/vehicles; 28 alarms; 29 first aid calls; eight domestic violence incidents, nine noise complaints, three burglaries, four disorderly persons, four thefts, 15 motor vehicle crashes, six frauds, six welfare checks, seven crisis intervention calls, two criminal mischief incidents, and 193 motor vehicle stops. Officers issued 172 summonses.
