Aberdeen Police Blotter, Jan. 24 - Jan. 30
Two cars were broken into at the Tab Ramos Sports Center on Blair Rd. last Sunday, Jan. 28. Windows were broken and purses were stolen.

ABERDEEN, NJ — Aberdeen Township Police made the following arrests January 24, 2018 through January 30, 2018:
- P.O. Darryl Richardson arrested a 27-year-old Township man on a contempt warrant out of Aberdeen municipal court on January 25.
- P.O. Darryl Richardson arrested a 40-year-old Eatontown man on a contempt warrant out of Aberdeen municipal court on January 25.
- P.O. Jessica McDougall arrested a 42-year-old Township man on a contempt warrant out of Woodbridge municipal court on January 25.
- Daniel P. Jones, 34, LCPL Phillip E. Frank Way, Aberdeen, was arrested on January 26 for the burglary of a residence in Peachtree Village, County Rd. He was also charged with theft and criminal mischief in the January 24 incident. P.O. Anthony Marone and Detectives Louis Nanna and Anthony Valentino investigated.
- P.O. Mohamed Mahmoud arrested a 49-year-old Middletown man on a contempt warrant out of Union Beach municipal court following a motor vehicle stop on Lloyd Rd. on January 27.
- Arrington E. Francis, 22, Mystic Court, Aberdeen, was charged with driving while intoxicated in two separate incidents on January 28. At approximately 1:50 AM P.O. Jessica McDougall responded to a report of a suspicious person on Dundee Court. Mr. Francis was found in his vehicle and he exhibited signs of intoxication. He was charged with reckless driving, in addition to DWI and released to a family member. At approximately 4:10 a.m. police were informed by a family member that Mr. Francis had left his residence on his motorcycle. Det. Louis Nanna located Mr. Francis with the motorcycle on Van Brakle Rd., where he was taken into custody and charged with DWI, reckless driving, and driving an unregistered and uninsured vehicle. Sgt. Michael Lasko and P.O. Bart Szulczynski assisted.
- P.O. Matthew McDow arrested a 32-year-old Freehold man on a contempt warrant out of Aberdeen municipal court on January 29.
Other police activity during that period included:
- Officers responded to 13 motor vehicle crashes over the one-week period. The locations were: Bechstein Dr., Hwy. 34/Randall Way., Hwy. 35/Cliffwood Ave., Hwy. 35/Amboy Ave., Cliffwood Ave./Matawan Ave., Lloyd Rd./Cambridge Dr., Lloyd Rd./Oxford Lane, Church St./South Atlantic Ave., and Atlantic Ave./Third St. There were four crashes in various parking lots.
- A resident of Overlook Circle reported the theft of a laptop computer on January 26. P.O. Bart Szulczynski responded.
- P.O. Mohamed Mahmoud responded to a report of shoplifting at the CVS store on South Atlantic Ave. on January 27.
- Two vehicles were broken into while parked at Tab Ramos Sports Center on Blair Rd. on January 28. Entry was gained by breaking windows and pocketbooks were taken. P.O. Mary Johnston took the reports.
- On January 30 a Cliffwood Ave. resident reported someone used her identity to open an account with an energy company. P.O. Matthew McDow took the report.
- On January 30 a resident of Peachtree Village, County Rd., reported a male subject arranged to purchase her camera which was offered for sale on an online marketplace. The perpetrator came to the victim’s home after paying through Venmo and took possession of the camera. The victim was then informed that the Venmo transaction was fraudulent. P.O. Edgar Serrano took the report.
Officers responded to or initiated 377 calls for service between January 24 and January 30, 2018, including 17 suspicious persons/vehicles; 24 alarms; 13 first aid calls; three domestic violence incidents, three noise complaints, three burglaries, three disorderly persons, two thefts, 13 motor vehicle crashes, three frauds, two welfare checks, four crisis intervention calls, one criminal mischief incident, and 121 motor vehicle stops. Officers issued 75 summonses.
