Aberdeen Township police made the following arrests January 31 through February 6:

ABERDEEN, NJ — Aberdeen Township police made the following arrests January 31 through February 6:

  • P.O. Matthew McDow arrested a 24-year-old Elizabeth woman on a contempt warrant out of Toms River municipal court on January 31.
  • P.O. Mohamed Mahmoud arrested a 27-year-old Toms River man on a contempt warrant out of Aberdeen municipal court on February 2.
  • P.O. Darryl Richardson arrested a 62-year-old Pleasantville man on contempt warrants out of Aberdeen and Matawan municipal courts on February 4.
  • P.O. Mohamed Mahmoud arrested a 31-year-old Aberdeen Township man on a contempt warrant out of Holmdel municipal court following a motor vehicle stop on West Concourse on February 4.
  • A 21-year-old Aberdeen Township man was charged with possession of marijuana and several motor vehicle offenses following a motor vehicle stop on County Road on February 6. P.O. Ronald Osadacz was the arresting officer.

Other police activity during that period included:

  • Officers responded to nine motor vehicle crashes over the one-week period. The locations were: Lower Main St./Central Ave., Hwy. 34/Cambridge Drive., Hwy. 35/Amboy Ave., Cliffwood Ave./Pengel Lane., Hwy. 34/Lloyd Rd., Cliffwood Ave./Cross Road, and Deerfield Lane. There were two crashes in various parking lots.

Officers responded to or initiated 347 calls for service between January 31 and February 6, 2018, including 11 suspicious persons/vehicles; 16 burglary alarms; 18 first aid calls; three domestic violence incidents, 3 noise complaints, three disorderly persons, two thefts, nine motor vehicle crashes, three frauds, five welfare checks, six crisis intervention calls, four criminal mischief incident, and 112 motor vehicle stops. Officers issued 73 summonses.
