The Aberdeen Township Police made the following arrests July 11, 2018 through July 31, 2018:

  • P.O. Nicholas DaRocha arrested a 42-year-old Middletown man on a contempt warrant out of Aberdeen municipal court on July 11.
  • A 22-year-old township man was charged with simple assault following an incident on Twilight Way on July 11. P.O. William Novak was the arresting officer.
  • A 42-year-old township woman was charged with endangering the welfare of a child following on July 12. Det. Anthony Valentino was the arresting officer.
  • P.O. Vincent Schifini arrested a 27-year-old Keansburg man on a contempt warrant out of Aberdeen municipal court on July 13.
  • A 30-year-old man from Union was charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, and other motor vehicle offenses following a motor vehicle stop on Hwy. 35 on July 16. P.O. Jessica McDougall was the arresting officer.
  • P.O. Edgar Serrano arrested a 43-year-old New Brunswick woman for violation of a court order following an incident on Anchor Way in the Glassworks complex on July 16.
  • A 26-year-old Sayreville woman was charged with possession of heroin and crack cocaine following a motor vehicle stop on Hwy. 35 on July 17. She was also charged with careless driving and other motor vehicle offenses. P.O. Ronald Osadacz was the arresting officer.
  • An 18-year-old Sayreville man was charged with trespassing at Wehrle Bus Service on Matawan Ave. on July 17. P.O.s Ronald Osadacz and Nicholas DaRocha were the arresting officers.
  • A 39-year-old Middletown man was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia following a motor vehicle stop on Hwy. 35 on July 18. He was also charged with driving an unregistered vehicle and other motor vehicle offenses. P.O.s Ronald Osadacz and Nicholas DaRocha were the arresting officers.
  • P.O. Edgar Serrano arrested a 21-year-old Union Beach man for violation of a court order following an incident on Woodmere Drive on July 18.
  • A 28-year-old woman from Las Vegas was charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, and other motor vehicle offenses following a motor vehicle stop on Cliffwood Ave. on July 18. P.O.s Ronald Osadacz and Nicholas DaRocha were the arresting officers.
  • Det. Anthony Valentino charged a 29-year-old township man with unlawful possession of a weapon following an incident at Ken Gardens apartments on Matawan Ave. on July 20. Sgt. Michael Lasko, P.O.s Mohamed Mahmoud, Vincent Schifini, and Bruce Monro responded to the initial incident.
  • P.O. Philip Santiago arrested a 21-year-old township man on a contempt warrant out of Aberdeen municipal court on July 20.
  • A 43-year-old Sayreville man was charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, and other motor vehicle offenses following a motor vehicle stop on Hwy. 35 on July 21. P.O.s Vincent Schifini and Mohamed Mahmoud were the arresting officers.
  • P.O. Darryl Richardson arrested a 46-year-old Marlboro man for shoplifting at the Shop Rite store on Lloyd Rd. on July 22.
  • A 30-year-old Allentown man was charged with possession of heroin following an incident at the Shop Rite store on Lloyd Rd. on July 24. Officers were called to the Shop Rite on a report of an intoxicated driver and they found the individual sitting in his vehicle, apparently under the influence, police said. The drugs were found during the investigation. P.O.s Henry Chevalier and Nicholas DaRocha were the arresting officers.
  • A 27-year-old township man was charged with simple assault following an incident on Lorraine Drive on July 25. P.O. Ronald Osadacz was the arresting officer.
  • A 34-year-old township man was charged with criminal mischief following an incident on Juniper Place on July 25. P.O. Edgar Serrano was the arresting officer.
  • P.O. William Novak arrested a 36-year-old Newark man on a contempt warrant out of Aberdeen municipal court on July 26.
  • P.O. Mohamed Mahmoud arrested a 40-year-old Keyport woman on contempt warrants out of Monmouth County Family Court and Keansburg municipal court following an incident at Strathmore Gardens on South Atlantic Ave. on July 28.
  • A 51-year-old township man was charged with simple assault following an incident on Avondale Lane on July 29. Det. Anthony Valentino was the arresting officer.
  • P.O.s Mohamed Mahmoud and Jessica McDougall arrested a 20-year-old East Brunswick man on contempt warrants out of East Brunswick and Spotswood municipal courts following an incident on Central Ave. on July 30.
  • P.O. Jessica McDougall arrested a 31-year-old township woman on a contempt warrant out of Middlesex County Superior Court on July 30.
  • P.O. Vincent Schifini arrested a 33-year-old South Toms River woman on a contempt warrant out of Aberdeen municipal court on July 31.

  • Aberdeen Township Police are investigating the burglaries of several vehicles in the Cliffwood area of the township. The burglaries occurred sometime during the night or early morning hours between July 24 and 25. Five vehicles on Stemler Drive, Bayview Street, County Rd., and Arlington Ave. were entered. Most were left unlocked. Credit cards, cash, sunglasses, a wallet, and a laptop computer were reported taken. Residents are urged to lock their vehicles, remove all valuables, and immediately report suspicious activity to police.

Officers responded to or initiated 852 calls for service between July 11 and July 31, 2018, including 25 suspicious persons/vehicles; 53 alarms; 71 first aid calls; 13 domestic violence incidents, one criminal mischief incident, eleven noise complaints, ten disorderly persons, seven burglaries, ten frauds, 21 motor vehicle crashes, six crisis intervention calls, and 271 motor vehicle stops. Officers issued 161 summonses.
