Aberdeen Police Blotter, May 16 - May 22

ABERDEEN, NJ — Aberdeen Township Police made the following arrests May 16, 2018 through May 22, 2018:

  • A 30-year-old Seaside Heights woman was arrested for shoplifting on May 16 following an incident at the Shop Rite store on Lloyd Rd. on May 14. Det. Louis Nanna was the arresting officer.
  • P.O. Ronald Osadacz arrested a 19-year-old township man on a contempt warrant out of Aberdeen municipal court following a motor vehicle stop on Cliffwood Ave. on May 16.
  • P.O. Matthew McDow arrested a 20-year-old Brick woman on a contempt warrant out of Aberdeen municipal court on May 16.
  • P.O. Roger Peter arrested a 45-year-old township woman on a contempt warrant out of Aberdeen municipal court on May 16.
  • P.O. Frank Maisano arrested a 35-year-old Matawan woman on a contempt warrant out of Aberdeen municipal court on May 18.
  • Derrik M. Vaughn, 27, Aberdeen, was charged with driving while intoxicated and reckless driving following an incident at the BP gas station on Hwy 35 on May 20. P.O. Frank Maisano was the arresting officer.
  • P.O. John Zeller arrested a 24-year-old Keansburg man on a contempt warrant out of Union Beach municipal court following a motor vehicle stop on Hwy. 34 on May 21.
  • P.O. Anthony Marone arrested a 32-year-old township woman on a contempt warrant out of Hoboken municipal court on May 22.

Other police activity during that period included:

  • Officers responded to four motor vehicle crashes between May 16 and May 22 at the following locations: Hwy. 34/Bechstein Dr., Belaire Court, County Rd./Stemler Dr., and the train station parking lot.

Officers responded to or initiated 325 calls for service between May 16 and May 22, 2018, including 12 suspicious persons/vehicles; 21 alarms; 22 first aid calls; one domestic violence incident, three criminal mischief incidents, four noise complaints, four disorderly persons, five thefts, four motor vehicle crashes, six crisis intervention calls, and 54 motor vehicle stops. Officers issued 62 summonses.
