Aberdeen Police Blotter, May 2 - May 8
On May 5 a resident of Highfield Ave. reported the theft of several packages that were supposed to be delivered to his home.

ABERDEEN, NJ — Released by Aberdeen Twp. police and unedited by Patch. Aberdeen Township Police made the following arrests May 2, 2018 through May 8, 2018:
- On May 2 a 50-year-old Matawan woman was arrested for violation of a court order following an incident on Angel St. P.O. Frank Maisano was the arresting officer.
- P.O. Darryl Richardson arrested a 64-year-old Marlboro man for shoplifting at the ShopRite store, Lloyd Rd., on May 2.
- A 34-year-old Aberdeen Township man was charged with simple assault following an incident on Wayside Dr. on May 2. P.O. Bart Szulczynski was the arresting officer.
- P.O. Edgar Serrano arrested a 34-year-old Hazlet woman on a contempt warrant out of Aberdeen municipal court on May 2.
- P.O. Bruce Monro charged a 24-year-old Township man with possession of heroin, a hypodermic syringe and drug paraphernalia on Lloyd Rd. near Nutmeg Rd. on May 3.
- Alexander E. Spear, 21, of Johnson Ave., Matawan, was charged on May 3 with the burglary of four vehicles parked on Atlantic Ave., Fifth St., and Bechstein Dr. on April 30. Det. Louis Nanna was the arresting officer.
- Brandon E. Cruz, Jr., 26, Aberdeen, was charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, and failure to signal following a motor stop on Hwy 34 and Cambridge Dr. on May 5. P.O. Ronald Osadacz was the arresting officer.
- Timothy J. Weldon, 52, Aberdeen, was charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, failure to maintain a lane and failure to yield to an emergency vehicle following a motor stop on Greenwood Ave. on May 5. P.O. Raymond Campbell was the arresting officer.
Other police activity during that period included:
- On May 2 officers and firefighters responded to a fire at a residence on Indigo Lane.
- P.O. Gus Grivas responded to the CVS store on South Atlantic Ave. on a report of a shoplifter on May 5. The suspect, described as a light-skinned black male in his 20s with a goatee and dressed in black fled in a gray four-door vehicle.
- On May 5 a resident of Highfield Ave. reported the theft of several packages that were supposed to be delivered to his home. P.O. Frank Maisano responded.
- Officers responded to nine motor vehicle crashes between May 2 and May 8 at the following locations: Grove St./Myrtle St., Cliffwood Ave./Glassworks Blvd., Matawan Ave./Cliffwood Ave., Texas Rd., and Church St./Darwin Way. The remainder occurred in parking lots.
Officers responded to or initiated 337 calls for service between May 2 and May 8, 2018, including 19 suspicious persons/vehicles; 18 alarms; 24 first aid calls; four domestic violence incidents, eight noise complaints, thirteen disorderly persons, one burglary, three thefts, nine motor vehicle crashes, one fraud, five welfare checks, four crisis intervention calls, and 59 motor vehicle stops. Officers issued 68 summonses.
