Aberdeen Police Blotter, May 23 - May 29

ABERDEEN, NJ — Aberdeen Township Police made the following arrests May 23, 2018 through May 29, 2018:

  • Shane T. Logue, 21, Aberdeen, was charged with possession of marijuana and distribution of a controlled dangerous substance on May 23. Det. Louis Nanna was the arresting officer.
  • P.O. John Zeller arrested a 24-year-old Township man on contempt warrants out of Wall and Holmdel municipal courts following a motor vehicle stop on County Rd. on May 24.
  • P.O. Edgar Serrano charged a 19-year-old East Brunswick man with possession of marijuana, possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle, and speeding following a motor vehicle stop on Hwy. 35 on May 25.
  • P.O. Mohamed Mahmoud arrested a 57-year-old Township man on a contempt warrant out of Marlboro municipal court on May 26.
  • A 44-year-old Township man was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia following an incident on Cliffwood Ave. on May 26. He was also found to be wanted on a contempt warrant out of Aberdeen municipal court. A 51-year-old township man was also arrested on contempt warrants out of Old Bridge and East Orange municipal courts during the incident. P.O.s Bruce Monro and Mohamed Mahmoud were the arresting officers.
  • P.O. Frank Maisano arrested a 44-year-old Holmdel man on a contempt warrant out of Verona municipal court following a motor vehicle stop on Hwy. 35 on May 27.
  • John J. Short, 26, Keyport, was charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, leaving the scene of an accident, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, and other motor vehicle offenses following a motor vehicle crash on Lower Main St. on May 28. Sgt. Matthew Lloyd and P.O. Mohamed Mahmoud were the arresting officers.
  • A 32-year-old township man was charged with harassment and criminal mischief following an incident on Milton Ave. on May 29. P.O. Ronald Osadacz was the arresting officer.

Other police activity during that period included:

  • Officers responded to ten motor vehicle crashes between May 23 and May 29 at the following locations: Grove St./Myrtle St., Shoe Concourse/Sweetbriar St., Lloyd Rd./Line Rd., Cambridge Dr./Canfield La. The remaining six crashes took place in parking lots.

Officers responded to or initiated 343 calls for service between May 23 and May 29, 2018, including six suspicious persons/vehicles; 17 alarms; 18 first aid calls; three domestic violence incidents, one criminal mischief incident, five noise complaints, seven disorderly persons, three frauds, one theft, ten motor vehicle crashes, three crisis intervention calls, and 99 motor vehicle stops. Officers issued 93 summonses.
