Released by the Aberdeen Twp. police and unedited by Patch, Aberdeen police made the following arrests May 30 through June 12, 2018:

ABERDEEN, NJ — Released by the Aberdeen Twp. police and unedited by Patch, Aberdeen police made the following arrests May 30 through June 12, 2018:
- P.O. Vincent Schifini arrested a 35-year-old Long Branch man on a contempt warrant out of Aberdeen municipal court on May 31.
- Daniel S. Valencia, 33, Maryland, was charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, and driving with a suspended license following a motor vehicle stop on Hwy. 35 on May 31. P.O. Ronald Osadacz was the arresting officers.
- P.O. Frank Maisano arrested a 22-year-old township man on a contempt warrant out of Aberdeen municipal court on June 3.
- On June 4 a 33-year-old Marlboro woman was arrested for shoplifting on May 11 at the Shop Rite store, Lloyd Rd. Det. Anthony Valentino was the arresting officer.
- P.O. Bart Szulczynski arrested a 24-year-old township man on a contempt warrant out of Keansburg municipal court on June 5.
- Anthony D. Hoff, 24, Keansburg, was charged with theft, possession of a controlled dangerous substance and drug paraphernalia, and hindering his own apprehension related to an incident on Beverly Drive on June 5. P.O.s Mohamed Mahmoud, Nicholas DaRocha, and Det. Anthony Valentino were the arresting officers.
- P.O. Bart Szulczynski arrested a 44-year-old township man on a contempt warrant out of East Orange municipal court following an incident on Cliffwood Ave. on June 5.
- A 21-year-old Matawan woman was charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia following an incident on Seawood Drive on June 7. She and a 20-year-old male companion from Matawan were also found to be wanted on contempt warrants out of Aberdeen municipal court. P.O.s Philip Santiago and Vincent Schifini were the arresting officers.
- Fernando Freitas, 54, Aberdeen, was charged with driving while intoxicated and reckless driving following a motor vehicle stop on Reids Hill Rd. on June 8. P.O. Ronald Osadacz was the arresting officer.
- Demond Hill, 40, Hazlet, was charged with driving while intoxicated, refusal to submit to a breath test, and reckless driving following a motor vehicle stop on Reids Hill Rd. on June 9. P.O. Bruce Monro was the arresting officer.
- On June 10 P.O. Frank Maisano arrested a 60-year-old Old Bridge man on contempt warrants out of East Brunswick, South River, and Woodbridge municipal courts following an incident at the A&P shopping center on Hwy. 35.
- P.O. Philip Santiago charged a 17-year-old Matawan youth with possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute on Atlantic Ave. on June 11.
- P.O. Frank Maisano charged a 26-year-old Perth Amboy man with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia following a motor vehicle stop on Hwy. 35 on June 12.
- A 50-year-old Keansburg man was charged with simple assault following an incident at the McDonald’s on Hwy. 35 June 12. He was also arrested on a contempt warrant out of Keansburg municipal court. P.O.s Vincent Schifini and Bruce Monro were the arresting officers.
- P.O. Vincent Schifini charged a 20-year-old Old Bridge man with driving while suspended, driving an unregistered vehicle, and hindering his own apprehension following a motor vehicle stop on County Rd. on June 12.
Other police activity during that period included:
- Officers responded to 19 motor vehicle crashes between May 30 and June 12 at the following locations: Cliffwood Ave./Hwy. 35 (2), Greenwood Ave., Lloyd Rd./Church St. (3), Overlea Lane, Aberdeen Rd./Belaire Ct., Cliffwood Ave./Pengel Lane, Atlantic Ave./Second St., Cliffwood Ave./South Amboy Rd., Hwy. 35/Amboy Ave., Idlewild Lane, and Ingram Cir./Ivy Way. The remaining five crashes took place in parking lots.
Officers responded to or initiated 671 calls for service between May 30 and June 12, 2018, including 29 suspicious persons/vehicles; 31 alarms; 27 first aid calls; ten domestic violence incidents, one criminal mischief incident, 12 noise complaints, eight disorderly persons, one burglary, five frauds, four thefts, 19 motor vehicle crashes, four crisis intervention calls, and 177 motor vehicle stops. Officers issued 172 summonses.
