Aberdeen Police Blotter, Nov. 1-Nov. 14

Released by Aberdeen Twp. police, and unedited by Patch, here are all the arrests in the area from Nov. 1 through Nov. 14:

ABERDEEN, NJ — The Aberdeen Township Police made the following arrests November 1, 2017 through November 14, 2017:

  • A 22-year-old Township man was charged with simple assault following an incident at Strathmore Gardens, South Atlantic Ave., on November 1. P.O. Matthew McDow was the arresting officer.
  • On November 1 a 52-year-old Township man was charged with simple assault, criminal mischief, and harassment related to an incident on Woodland Drive on October 30. P.O. Martin Walsh was the arresting officer. P.O. Frank Maisano investigated.
  • On November 2 a 44-year-old Keyport man was arrested for violation of a court order related to an incident on Ingram Circle on October 24. P.O. Anthony Marone was the arresting officer. P.O. Bart Szulczynski investigated.
  • Edward R. Rumpf, 24, Aberdeen, was charged with driving while intoxicated, failure to maintain a lane, and reckless driving following a motor vehicle stop on Ivy Way on November 4. Sgt. Brian Alberti made the arrest.
  • Leigh K. Moltz, 38, Aberdeen, was charged with driving while intoxicated and reckless driving following a motor vehicle stop on Church St. on November 6. P.O. Ronald Osadacz made the arrest.
  • On November 6 a 42-year-old Township man was charged with simple assault and resisting arrest following an incident on Lloyd Rd. P.O. Ronald Osadacz was the arresting officer. Sgt. Michael Lasko assisted.
  • A 27-year-old Edison man was arrested on contempt warrants out of Metuchen municipal court following an incident on Nutmeg Road on November 6. P.O. Bruce Monro was the arresting officer.
  • Laura A. Dangelo, 44, Keyport, was charged with driving while intoxicated, failure to observe a traffic signal, and reckless driving following a motor vehicle crash on Hwy. 35 near County Rd. on November 12. P.O. Edgar Serrano made the arrest.
  • On November 14 a 19-year-old Old Bridge man was arrested for simple assault related to an incident at Air Trampoline on County Rd. on October 27. P.O. Bart Szulczynski was the arresting officer. P.O. Edgar Serrano investigated.

Other police activity during that period included:

  • On November 1 P.O. Raymond Campbell responded to a drug overdose at Tree Haven III apartments on Aberdeen Road. Narcan was administered and the patient was revived, but refused further medical attention.
  • A resident of Cliffwood Ave. reported that sometime in the afternoon on November 3 someone entered a detached garage on the property and stole a battery tender. P.O. Anthony Marone investigated.
  • On November 5 a resident of Gibson Apartments on Amboy Ave. reported the theft of her 1994 Toyota 4Runner. P.O. Anthony Marone took the report.
  • On November 6 a Lorraine Drive resident reported someone used his debit card to withdraw cash from his bank account. P.O. Craig Hausmann took the report.
  • On November 10 a resident of Fawn Place reported he was persuaded by someone he met on the internet to wire a significant amount of money to a bank in Massachusetts on the pretense of investing in gold in Ghana, Africa. The transaction was cancelled when it was discovered that the receiving bank had put it on hold pending verification. P.O. Gus Grivas took the report.

Officers responded to or initiated 563 calls for service between November 1 and November 14, 2017, including 37 suspicious persons/vehicles; 33 alarms; 36 first aid calls; six domestic violence incidents, 11 noise complaints, eight disorderly persons, 31 motor vehicle crashes, one burglary, two thefts, five frauds, six welfare checks, four crisis intervention calls, and 107 motor vehicle stops. Officers issued 130 motor vehicle summonses.
