Aberdeen Police Blotter: Nov. 11-Nov. 17

All the arrests made in Aberdeen Township Nov. 11-17.

The Aberdeen Township Police made the following arrests November 11, 2015 through November 17, 2015:

  • Anthony D. Jenkins, 49, Newark, was arrested for on November 11 shoplifting at the Shop Rite store, Lloyd Rd., on September 24. P.O. John Young and Det. Louis Nanna investigated.
  • Sgt. Matthew Lloyd arrested a 54-year-old township man on a contempt warrant out of Aberdeen municipal court on November 11.
  • On November 11 a 27-year-old Manville man was arrested on contempt warrants out of Keyport and Hazlet municipal courts. Det. Anthony Valentino made the arrest.
  • A 27-year-old Hazlet man was arrested on contempt warrants out of Aberdeen municipal court and Union County Superior Court on November 12. Det. Anthony Valentino was the arresting officer.
  • Francisco C. DeOliveira, 39, Middlesex, was charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, leaving the scene of a crash, failure to report a crash, and refusal to submit to a breath test after a motor vehicle crash on Sherwood Drive on November 13 at approximately 6:20 PM. P.O. Jessica McDougall and P.O. Roger Peter investigated.
  • On November 15 a 31-year-old township man was arrested for criminal mischief following an incident at Avalon apartments, Central Ave. P.O. Martin Walsh was the arresting officer.
  • Christopher J. Allen, 19, Aberdeen, and Robert M. Scully, Jr., 22, Hazlet, were charged with disorderly conduct following an incident at the Blue Rock Café, Amboy Ave., on November 15. Mr. Allen was also charged with underage possession of an alcoholic beverage. P.O. Frank Maisano was the arresting officer.
  • On November 16 a 52-year-old township man was arrested for simple assault related to an incident on Nutmeg Rd. P.O. John Zeller was the arresting officer.
  • John F. Marte, 18, Matawan, was charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, and possession of marijuana after a motor vehicle crash on Cross Ave on November 17 at approximately 10:50 PM. P.O. Raymond Campbell was the arresting officer and P.O. Bart Szulczynski assisted.

P.O. John Young responded to a report of harassment on Sweetbriar St. on November 11.

On November 11 P.O. Bart Szulczynski responded to a report of suspicious persons at the Ken Gardens apartment complex on Matawan Ave.

On November 12 it was reported that several taxicabs parked at Mr. Bargain III, Lower Main St., were damaged sometime during the night. P.O. Mary Johnston responded.

On November 12 a resident of Chilton Lane reported receiving harassing phone calls. P.O. Matthew McDow took the report.

On November 13 a Nutmeg Rd. resident reported he received a bad check from a business partner. P.O. Hank Chevalier responded.

On November 14 the manager of Supercuts, Hwy. 35, reported that sometime over the weekend someone entered the store and ransacked the office. Nothing was reported missing. P.O. Christopher DeSarno responded.

P.O. John Zeller investigated a report of an assault at the McDonald’s restaurant, Hwy. 35, on November 14.

On November 15 an employee of the Court Jester, Hwy. 34, reported someone entered her vehicle while it was parked behind the building and removed cash. P.O. Martin Walsh responded.

On November 16 a Tinton Falls resident reported he was being harassed on social media by an Avalon Lane resident. Sgt. Matthew Lloyd took the report.

Officers responded to or initiated 292 calls for service between November 11 and November 17, 2015, including nine suspicious persons/vehicles; 20 alarms; 16 first aid calls; 14 motor vehicle crashes; four disorderly persons, three domestic violence incidents, two thefts, two noise complaints, three welfare checks, one burglary, and 109 motor vehicle stops. Officers issued 78 motor vehicle summonses.
