Aberdeen Police Blotter, Oct. 18 - Oct. 31

Aberdeen Township Police made the following arrests October 18 through October 31, 2017:

ABERDEEN, NJ — Released by Aberdeen police and unedited by Patch, Aberdeen Township Police made the following arrests October 18, 2017 through October 31, 2017:

  • A 20-year-old Aberdeen woman was arrested on a contempt warrant out of Woodbridge municipal court following an incident on Ivyhill Drive on October 19. P.O. Edgar Serrano was the arresting officer.
  • A 38-year-old Aberdeen man was arrested on a contempt warrant out of Aberdeen municipal court on October 20. P.O. Roger Peter was the arresting officer.
  • Jahvar M. Dodson, 23, Aberdeen, was charged with burglary and theft after he was found taking items from a vehicle parked on Hawthorne St. on October 20. Special Officer Michael Rzigalinski was the arresting officer. Det. Louis Nanna assisted.
  • A 38-year-old Keansburg woman was arrested on a contempt warrant out of Aberdeen municipal court and a 28-year-old Keyport man was arrested on contempt warrants out of Keansburg municipal court following an incident at Vingo Liquors on Hwy. 35 on October 23. P.O. Bruce Monro was the arresting officer.
  • A 21-year-old Aberdeen man was arrested on a contempt warrant out of Marlboro municipal court on October 24. P.O. Bart Szulczynski was the arresting officer.
  • A 35-year-old Elizabeth woman was arrested on a contempt warrant out of Aberdeen municipal court on October 25. P.O. Martin Walsh was the arresting officer.
  • A 36-year-old Lakewood woman was arrested on a contempt warrant out of Aberdeen municipal court on October 25. Det. Louis Nanna was the arresting officer.
  • A 43-year-old Monroe man was arrested on a contempt warrant out of Aberdeen municipal court on October 25. Special Officer Michael Rzigalinski was the arresting officer.
  • A 23-year-old Connecticut man was arrested on a contempt warrant out of Aberdeen municipal court on October 25. Special Officer Michael Rzigalinski was the arresting officer.
  • David S. Berenblit, 47, Sayreville, was charged with driving while intoxicated, failure to observe a traffic signal, and reckless driving following a motor vehicle stop on Hwy. 35 on October 25. P.O. Anthony Marone made the arrest.
  • On October 27 Christopher D. Kingsbury, 27, Little Egg Harbor, was charged with the burglaries of several homes in the township between September 8 and October 17. Specific charges and locations are as follows: September 8: Lorraine Drive- burglary, motor vehicle theft, theft of property; October 13: Smith Court- burglary, motor vehicle theft, theft of property; October 13: Smith Court- Criminal attempt (burglary), criminal mischief; October 17: Smith Court- arson, burglary, theft of property, criminal mischief. In addition to the motor vehicles, cash, jewelry, and tools were taken in the burglaries. Detectives Louis Nanna and Manny Carabel conducted the investigation in conjunction with detectives from Middletown, Hazlet, and Atlantic Highlands police departments.
  • A 29-year-old Toms River woman was arrested on a contempt warrant out of Aberdeen municipal court on October 28. P.O. Ronald Osadacz was the arresting officer.
  • Joshua L. Anderson, 29, Greenfield, MA, was charged with violation of a court order following an incident on Winter Place on October 28. He was also arrested on a contempt warrant out of Sayreville municipal court. P.O. Anthony Marone was the arresting officer.
  • A 33-year-old township man was charged with aggravated assault following an incident at Chelsea Village, Cross Rd., on October 29. P.O. Ronald Osadacz was the arresting officer.
  • Dion M. Gray, 24, Matawan, was charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, and failure to wear a seat belt following a motor vehicle crash on Church St. on October 30. P.O. Raymond Campbell was the arresting officer.
  • A 25-year-old Long Branch man was arrested on a contempt warrant out of Aberdeen municipal court on October 30. P.O. Bruce Monro was the arresting officer.
  • A 27-year-old township man was charged with obstruction of justice following an incident on Dogwood Court on October 31. He was also arrested on a contempt warrant out of Keyport municipal court. P.O. Mary Johnston was the arresting officer.
  • On October 31 a 66-year-old township man was arrested for simple assault related to an incident on Beaver Place. Det. Anthony Valentino was the arresting officer. P.O. John Zeller investigated.

Other police activity during that period included:

Officers responded to or initiated 584 calls for service between October 18 and October 31, 2017, including 22 suspicious persons/vehicles; 37 alarms; 34 first aid calls; 13 domestic violence incidents, ten noise complaints, 18 disorderly persons, 32 motor vehicle crashes, three burglaries, six thefts, four frauds, one criminal mischief incident, five welfare checks, nine crisis intervention calls, and 112 motor vehicle stops. Officers issued 126 motor vehicle summonses.
