ABERDEEN, NJ — Released by Aberdeen police and unedited by Patch, Aberdeen Township Police made the following arrests October 24 through November 6, 2018:

A 27-year-old Aberdeen man was charged with driving while intoxicated, speeding, reckless driving, and other motor vehicle violations following a motor vehicle stop on Cliffwood Ave. on October 18. P.O. Ronald Osadacz was the arresting officer.

P.O. Philip Santiago arrested a 31-year-old township woman on a contempt warrant out of Aberdeen municipal court on October 25.

P.O. Frank Maisano arrested a 55-year-old Union Beach man on a contempt warrant out of Union Beach municipal court following an incident on Cliffwood Ave. on October 26.

A 41-year-old Matawan woman was charged with driving while intoxicated, possession of heroin, drug paraphernalia and hypodermic syringes following an incident at the Aberdeen-Matawan train station on Atlantic Ave. on November 1. She was also wanted on contempt warrants out of Springfield municipal court. P.O. Ronald Osadacz was the arresting officer with assistance from P.O. Vincent Schifini.

P.O. Raymond Campbell arrested a 50-year-old Hazlet woman on a contempt warrant out of Hazlet municipal court following a motor vehicle stop on Campbell Ct. on November 3.

A 38-year-old Toms River man was charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, DWI with an underage person in the vehicle, and endangering the welfare of a child following an incident at the Hudson Ridge complex on Church St. on November 4. The children in the car at the time were 8 and 4. P.O. Frank Maisano was the arresting officer with assistance from P.O. Michael Monteiro.

Other police activity during that period included:

Four unlocked vehicles were entered on County Road, Milton Ave., and Rose St. between October 26 and November 2. The victims reported cash, a laptop computer, wallets, clothing, and other personal items were taken. Residents are urged to lock their car doors, remove all valuables, and immediately report any suspicious activity.

On October 29 a Woodmere Drive resident reported he received a phone call from an individual purporting to be a Microsoft employee telling him he had been overcharged. He was directed to a website to obtain a refund. Once this was done, the perpetrator was able to gain access to the victim’s computer. The caller then told him that he was over-refunded and directed him to purchase gift cards to send him as repayment. When the victim refused, the caller threatened to take over his computer and damage it and ruin his credit. P.O. Edgar Serrano responded.

On November 1 a resident of Lenny Court reported the theft of his black 2015 Mazda M3S from the complex parking lot. P.O. Frank Maisano took the report.
