ABERDEEN, NJ — Released by Aberdeen Township and unedited by Patch, the following arrests were made September 26 through October 9, 2018:

  • On September 26 a 25-year-old Matawan woman was arrested for simple assault following an incident at Hidden Village on Whispering Way. P.O. Gus Grivas was the arresting officer.
  • P.O. Matthew McDow arrested a 51-year-old Brick man on a contempt warrant out of Keyport municipal court on September 26.
  • P.O. Edgar Serrano arrested a 52-year-old Marlboro man on a contempt warrant out of West Windsor municipal court following an incident on Atlantic Ave. on September 26.
  • A 50-year-old Township man was charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving and consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle following a crash on Woodmere Drive on September 28. P.O. John Zeller was the arresting officer with assistance from P.O. Martin Walsh.
  • P.O. Ronald Osadacz charged a 35-year-old Sayreville man with hindering his own apprehension following a motor vehicle crash on Hwy. 35 on September 29.
  • A 30-year-old township man was charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, and failure to observe a traffic signal following a motor vehicle stop on Hwy. 34 on September 30. P.O. Jessica McDougall was the arresting officer with assistance from P.O. Bruce Monro.
  • P.O. Michael Monteiro arrested a 30-year-old South Toms River woman on a contempt warrant out of Aberdeen municipal court on October 1.
  • P.O. Nicholas DaRocha arrested a 45-year-old Aberdeen man on contempt warrants out of Aberdeen, Keyport, and East Orange municipal courts, as well as the Monmouth County Sheriff’s Office, following a trespassing incident on Center St. on October 5.
  • P.O. Nicholas DaRocha arrested a 27-year-old Parlin man on contempt warrants out of Aberdeen and Elizabeth municipal courts following a motor vehicle stop on Cliffwood Ave. on October 6.
  • A 35-year-old township man was charged with disorderly conduct and possession of prescription legend drugs following an incident on County Road on October 7. Sgt. Roger Peter was the arresting officer.
  • A 36-year-old Old Bridge woman was charged with driving while intoxicated, refusal to submit to a breath test, reckless driving, failure to report a crash, and leaving the scene of a crash following a motor crash on Lenox Rd. on October 8. P.O. Jessica McDougall was the arresting officer with assistance from P.O. Philip Santiago.

Other police activity during that period included:

Officers responded to or initiated 682 calls for service between September 26 and October 9, 2018, including 25 suspicious persons/vehicles; 37 alarms; 50 first aid calls; four domestic violence incidents, one burglary, two thefts, four criminal mischief incidents, 15 disorderly persons, three frauds, 24 motor vehicle crashes, nine crisis intervention calls, two overdoses, and 201 motor vehicle stops. Officers issued 185 summonses.
