Aberdeen police investigated the theft of 40 gallons of fuel from a truck and are trying to find a cash register thief.

Aberdeen police recently investigated the theft of 40 gallons of fuel from a truck, made arrests on assault charges, and are trying to find the burglar who stole a cash register from a gas station.
Aberdeen police officers handled 810 calls for service between April 15 and April 28, including 21 suspicious persons or vehicles, 25 alarms, 41 first aid calls, 18 motor vehicle crashes, eight disorderly persons, six domestic violence incidents, two burglaries, seven thefts, six noise complaints, five criminal mischief incidents, three fraud, five utility complaints, six welfare checks, and 367 motor vehicle stops. Officers issued 276 motor vehicle summonses.

April 15
A North Circle resident reported someone used his identity to file a fraudulent income tax return. Officer Darryl Richardson took the report.

April 16
Someone tried to gain entry to a County Road business by prying a door. Officer Mary Johnston responded.
April 17
A 24-year-old Sayreville man was arrested on contempt warrants out of Sayreville and Monroe municipal courts following a motor vehicle stop on Route 35. Officer Bart Szulczynski was the arresting officer.
Officer Craig Hausmann arrested a 35-year-old township man on a charge of simple assault following an incident at Strathmore Gardens, South Atlantic Avenue.
Officer Darryl Richardson arrested a 19-year-old township man on a contempt warrant out of Aberdeen Municipal Court.
A 57-year-old Keansburg man was arrested on a non-support warrant out of Monmouth County Superior Court. Officer Edgar Serrano was the arresting officer.
April 19
Officer Frank Maisano arrested a 31-year-old township man on a contempt warrant out of Old Bridge Municipal Court following an incident on County Road.
April 20
Officer Charles Trucillo arrested a 60-year-old township man on charges of simple assault, harassment, and criminal mischief following an incident on Haverford Court.
Officer Hank Chevalier took a report of the theft of a cell phone at the ShopRite store on Lloyd Road.
A West Prospect Avenue resident reported the theft of his lawn mower. Sgt. Darrell Oliver investigated.
April 21
Brittany L. Geary, 24, Keyport, was charged with assault by auto and endangering the welfare of a child following an incident on Matawan Avenue. She was also issued summonses charging her with reckless driving and failure to exhibit documents. Officers Christopher DeSarno and Brian Alberti investigated.
A resident of LCPL Phillip E. Frank Way reported someone made unauthorized charges on his debit card. Officer Hank Chevalier responded.
April 24
Around 1:50 a.m. officers responded to a burglar alarm at the BP gas station on Route 35. The building had been burglarized and the cash register was stolen. Officer Matthew McDow, Sgt. Michael Lasko, and a Marlboro K-9 officer responded.
April 25
Officer Darryl Richardson arrested a 53-year-old township man on a contempt warrant out of Aberdeen Municipal Court following an incident at Strathmore Gardens, South Atlantic Avenue.
John R. Gomolka, 35, of Matawan Avenue, Aberdeen, was charged with disorderly conduct, possession of prescription drugs, possession of a hypodermic syringe, and violation of a court order following an incident on West Prospect Avenue. Officer Matthew McDow was the arresting officer.
A resident of Chelsea Village apartments reported the theft of a game system and some games from her apartment. Officer John Young took the report.
April 27
A 33-year-old township woman was arrested on a contempt warrant out of Aberdeen Municipal Court. Officer Jessica McDougall was the arresting officer.
Police received a report that sometime over the weekend someone spray-painted graffiti on the wall and trailer of a business at a Church Street industrial complex. Officer Christopher DeSarno took the report.
A Wayside Drive resident reported someone made unauthorized charges on his debit card. Officer Frank Maisano responded.
April 28
Sgt. Matthew Lloyd arrested a 27-year-old township man on a contempt warrant out of Marlboro Municipal Court.
It was reported that sometime during the night someone stole 40 gallons of diesel fuel from a truck parked at a Lloyd Road industrial complex. Officer Gus Grivas took the report.
