Aberdeen to Present Independence Day Fireworks & More on July 7

Aberdeen will present Independence Day fireworks and kids activities on Sat., July 7 at 6 pm at Veterans Memorial Park in Cliffwood Beach.

Aberdeen Township will present its annual Independence Day Fireworks on Saturday, July 7 at 9:00 p.m. at Veterans Memorial Park in Cliffwood Beach.

The celebration will begin at 6:00 p.m. with music by DJ Sway J and activities for children including bounce houses and face painting, all sponsored by Northeast Spine and Sports Medicine in Aberdeen. In addition, the site’s children’s pirate ship-themed spray park will remain open until 8 p.m. Refreshments will be available for purchase.

Parking at Veterans Memorial Park will only be available for handicapped guests, with cars gaining access to the lot from the section of Ocean Boulevard that begins in Old Bridge. For all other guests, there will be a free shuttle bus running from the A&P Parking Lot on Route 35 to the park starting at 6:00 p.m. Lakeshore Drive and Ocean Boulevard in Aberdeen will be closed to traffic beginning at 5:00 p.m.

Veterans Memorial Park is located at Ocean Boulevard and Lake Shore Drive in Cliffwood Beach. In the event of rain, the fireworks will take place on Sunday, July 8th. Guests are asked to bring chairs or blankets to sit on.
