Aberdeen Residents To Begin Receiving New Recycling Containers In March

Starting this month, Aberdeen Township residents will begin receiving special recycling containers provided by the Township.

Starting this month, Aberdeen Township residents will begin receiving special recycling containers provided by the Township.

The containers—which are to be used for bottles, cans and mixed paper—will be delivered by the township’s garbage company over the next few weeks. Only one container per household will be provided, but residents may use additional containers if necessary. Residents are asked to continue to bundle newspapers and cardboard with string.

An information flyer placed inside the pail provides complete details on recycling pick-up schedules and which items can and cannot be recycled.

“In an effort to help our town further realize the environmental and economic benefits of recycling, we are pleased to provide a recycling pail to each home free of charge, and encourage residents to recycle whenever possible,” said Mayor Fred Tagliarini.

For more information, call the Public Works Department at (732) 583-4200, ext. 400.
