Aberdeen Spray Park Closed Due To Malfunction
Breaking: Less than a week after its grand opening, the spray park at Veterans Park had to be shut down, the Twp. announced Friday morning.

ABERDEEN, NJ — Update: All the repairs were made and the Aberdeen spray park reopened Saturday, Aug. 12.
Less than a week after its grand opening last Sunday, which hundreds of local families attended, the Aberdeen spray park at Veterans Memorial Park had to be shut down, Aberdeen Township announced Friday morning.
As of Friday morning, the spray park is closed due to a malfunction with the chlorine pump, the Township announced on Facebook. The spray park will remain closed until the necessary repairs have been made. The Township is waiting on a replacement pump.

However, Veterans Memorial Park will remain open and the "Movie Night" scheduled for Saturday night will still take place. The park will host its first special event tomorrow night, Saturday, August 12 with the final showing of the summer “Movie in the Park” series featuring Disney’s “Moana” at 8:00 p.m.

Aberdeen opened the newly revamped Veterans Park last Sunday, Aug. 6. Hundreds of families attended the grand opening last Sunday. Veterans Park now features a pirate ship-themed spray park, a pirate and tall ship-themed playground, a picnic grove with shade structures; a multi-purpose field for little league, softball, and soccer; a kayak and small water craft launch; a gazebo/band shell; a flagpole and War Veteran’s Memorial Monument; and a restroom/equipment/storage building.
