Aberdeen Teenager Arrested For Intoxicated Hit And Run: Police
The 19-year-old refused to submit to a breath test, police said.

ABERDEEN, NJ— An Aberdeen teenager was arrested for a hit and run while under the influence. Police are unable to determine the exact cause of intoxication currently, Chief John Powers said.
Jake Ross, 19, was arrested after a crash in the early-morning hours Thursday. Ross stuck a car in the parking lot of a Highway 34 7-11, and an investigation found that he had struck a sign at the Meineke store shortly before.
Ross refused to submit to to a breath test, and was found to have unprescribed Xanax in his car, which, without a script, is considered a controlled dangerous substance. He was arrested around 2:37 a.m.

For both crashes, Ross was charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, careless driving, leaving the scene of a crash, failure to report a crash, possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle, and refusal to submit to a breath test.
He was issued a summonses and released pending a court appearance.
