Aberdeen Township Police Blotter, April 12-April 25
Power tools were stolen from Quality First Contracting on Hwy. 35; a bike was stolen from Chelsea Village and more.

ABERDEEN, NJ - The Aberdeen Township police released their bi-monthly police blotter, with the following arrests April 12 through April 25. Officers responded to or initiated 486 calls for service between April 12 and April 25, 2017, including 30 suspicious persons/vehicles; 25 alarms; 36 first aid calls; eight domestic violence incidents, ten motor vehicle crashes, four thefts, two frauds, two criminal mischief incidents, eight disorderly persons, and 132 motor vehicle stops. Officers issued 126 motor vehicle summonses.
- A 58-year-old Aberdeen man was charged with simple assault following an incident on West Prospect Ave. on April 12. P.O. Craig Hausmann was the arresting officer.
- On April 12 a 21-year-old Irvington woman was arrested on a contempt warrant out of Aberdeen municipal court. P.O. Jessica McDougall was the arresting officer.
- Scott M. Kruse, 34, Middletown was charged with violation of a court order following an incident on Hwy. 34 on April 13. P.O. Frank Maisano and Det. Anthony Valentino investigated.
- A 42-year-old Aberdeen woman was charged with simple assault following an incident at Aberdeen Station apartments on Central Ave. on April 13. P.O. Darryl Richardson was the arresting officer.
- On April 13 a 25-year-old Middletown woman was arrested on a contempt warrant out of Aberdeen municipal court. P.O. Bart Szulczynski was the arresting officer.
- Angel Martinez-Martinez, 26, Aberdeen, was charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, driving while suspended, and other motor vehicle offenses following a motor vehicle stop in Ken Gardens apartments on Matawan Ave. on April 17. P.O. John Zeller was the arresting officer.
- A 29-year-old Parlin man was charged with harassment and criminal mischief following an incident at Chelsea Village on Cross Rd. on April 19. P.O. John Zeller was the arresting officer.
- On April 20 a 24-year-old Keyport woman was arrested on a contempt warrant out of Aberdeen municipal court. P.O. Darryl Richardson was the arresting officer.
- A 26-year-old Township woman and a 25-year-old Marlboro man were charged with simple assault following an incident on Norwood Lane on April 21. P.O.s Mary Johnston and Bruce Monro were the arresting officers.
- On April 22 a 17-year-old Linden youth was charged with possession of marijuana and being in a park after dark after he was found parked in his vehicle on the Cliffwood Beach beachfront. A 19-year-old female with him was also issued a summons for being in the park after dark. P.O.s Raymond Campbell and Bruce Monro were the arresting officers.
- On April 23 a 30-year-old Union Beach man was arrested on a contempt warrant out of Aberdeen municipal court. P.O. Bruce Monro was the arresting officer.
- On April 23 a 31-year-old Township man was arrested on a contempt warrant out of Middlesex County Superior Court following an incident on Oak Shades Ave. P.O. Matthew McDow was the arresting officer.
- On April 24 a 39-year-old Edison man was arrested on a contempt warrant out of South Plainfield municipal court following a motor vehicle stop on Hwy. 35. P.O. Roger Peter was the arresting officer.
Other police activity during that period included:
- P.O. Raymond Campbell responded to a report of shoplifting at the Goodwill store on Hwy. 35 on April 12.
- On April 12 P.O. Charles Trucillo responded to a report of harassment on Dumbarton Hill Court.
- On April 13 the owner of US Mahogany on Lloyd Rd. reported someone had spray painted on the rear of the building. P.O. Bart Szulczynski took the report.
- On April 14 P.O. Bart Szulczynski found that graffiti had been spray painted on the front of a vacant restaurant on Hwy. 34. The paint appeared to spell out “ZOS”.
- P.O. Anthony Marone responded to a report of harassment on Raritan St. on April 16.
- P.O. John Young responded to a report of an assault at the Aberdeen Counseling Center, Hwy. 34, on April 18.
- On April 18 P.O. Hank Chevalier responded to a report of a suspicious person at the Fiorendo Sigismondi Community Center on Prospect Ave.
- P.O. Anthony Marone responded to a report of harassment on Gloucester Ct. on April 19.
- On April 20 it was reported that sometime during the night someone entered the yard of Quality First Contracting on Hwy. 35 by cutting a hole in the fence. The perpetrator took power tools valued at approximately $1,600 from vehicles parked in the yard. P.O. Frank Maisano took the report. Anyone with information should contact the detective bureau.
- On April 23 a contractor working at a County Road residence reported the theft of several gallons of paint. P.O. Darryl Richardson took the report.
- P.O. Matthew McDow responded to a report of harassment on Amherst Ct. on April 23.
- P.O. Bart Szulczynski responded to a reported of a theft of a bicycle from Chelsea Village, Cross Rd. on April 23.
- On April 24 a resident of Ken Gardens on Matawan Ave. reported the fraudulent use of her debit card. P.O. Anthony Marone responded.
