Aberdeen Township Police made the following arrests August 2, 2017 through August 8, 2017:

ABERDEEN, NJ — Aberdeen Township Police made the following arrests August 2, 2017 through August 8, 2017:
- A 15-year-old township youth was taken into custody for possession of marijuana on Parva Place on August 2. Sgt. Matthew Lloyd was the arresting officer.
- A 24-year-old Aberdeen woman was charged with possession of marijuana following a motor vehicle stop on Shore Concourse on August 2. P.O. Ronald Osadacz was the arresting officer.
- On August 3 two Township youths were taken into custody for violation of the curfew ordinance following an incident on South Amboy Ave. P.O.s Raymond Campbell and Bruce Monro were the arresting officers.
- A 24-year-old Manalapan man was arrested on a contempt warrant out of Aberdeen municipal court on August 3. P.O. Bruce Monro was the arresting officer.
- Jibril M. Beamon, 24, Somerset, was arrested on contempt warrants out of South Bound Brook, Totowa, and Edison municipal courts following an incident on Ruth Lane. He was also charged with obstruction of justice after he initially gave the officers a fictitious name. P.O. Raymond Campbell made the arrest.
- Det. Anthony Valentino arrested a 27-year-old Long Branch man on a contempt of court warrant out of Aberdeen municipal court on August 4.
- P.O. Ronald Osadacz arrested a 62-year-old township woman for simple assault following an incident at Chelsea Village apartments on Cross Rd. on August 4.
- Nelson Alexander Carcamo, 30, of Perth Amboy, was charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, and being an unlicensed driver following a motor vehicle crash on Hwy. 34 on August 4. P.O. Matthew McDow made the arrest.
Other police activity during that period included:
- P.O. Jeffrey Griffith responded to a report of harassment on South Atlantic Ave. on August 2.
- P.O. Mary Johnston responded to a report of harassment at the Shop Rite store on Lloyd Rd. on August 2.
- On August 3 a resident of Matawan Ave. resident reported seeing a male subject on her property in the early morning hours. The subject was described as white, 40-50 years old, wearing an orange safety vest and a baseball cap. He ran toward Prospect Ave. and Grove St. P.O. Darryl Richardson took the report.
- P.O. Matthew McDow responded to a report of harassment on Campbell Ct. on August 3.
- On August 4 a resident of Warren Drive reported he received a text message purportedly from Santander Bank instructing him to call a number where an automated message asked for identifying information. Upon contacting the bank branch office it was learned that it was a scam. P.O. Matthew McDow took the report.
- On August 5 a resident of North Circle reported the fraudulent use of his credit card. P.O. Jeffrey Griffith took the report.
- Det. Anthony Valentino responded to a report of suspicious persons on Beaver Place on August 5.
- P.O. Gus Grivas responded to a report of harassment on LCPL Phillip Frank Way on August 6.
- On August 6 P.O. Edgar Serrano responded to a report of an assault on Beverly Drive.
- P.O. John Zeller responded to a report of criminal mischief and terroristic threats on Third St. on August 7.
- P.O. Gus Grivas responded to a report of harassment on West Prospect Ave. on August 7.
Officers responded to or initiated 267 calls for service between August 2 and August 8, 2017, including 22 suspicious persons/vehicles; 21 alarms; 16 first aid calls; three domestic violence incidents, one noise complaint, five disorderly persons, seven motor vehicle crashes, three frauds, seven welfare checks, and 45 motor vehicle stops. Officers issued 52 motor vehicle summonses. Officers issued two summonses for being in a park after closing and one for consumption of alcoholic beverages on the beachfront.
