Aberdeen Zoning Board Agenda, Aug. 10

A closer look at tonight's Zoning Board Agenda

The Aberdeen Township Zoning Board will meet tonight, Aug. 10, in the Aberdeen Township Municipal Building at 7:30 p.m.

According to an agenda released by Aberdeen Township, the Zoning Board will discuss the preliminary and final site plan of the property at 26 New Brunswick Avenue as a condition of approval of use granted in March.

The property owners wish to use the existing building, which currently houses the Acme Party Rental, to also have a retail sports consignment shop, an office and a second floor storage area. The building is located in an "R 100," or residential, zone.

The Zoning Board will also memorialize three past resolutions.

The first is for a resolution regarding the property at 268 Cliffwood Avenue. The property owner of American Self Storage had asked for preliminary and final approval of a use variance granted in June of 2010 to use the location for a proposed office and self storage facility with the Community Bible Fellowship Church to remain on site. This has been a phased project to add a second story to the location and renovate the facade of the building.

The second memorialization is for a resolution regarding the Dollar Tree. Tri Star Sign Management, who manages the Dollar Tree property at 1077 Route 34, asked for a variance to change the color of the facade and change the roof color to green.

The third resolution to be memorialized concerns the property at 145 Route 35. The applicant asked for approval to permit a used car and truck sales/leasing lot with a sales office and vehicle repair depot. The owner also asked to retain the existing single family home on the property in the highway commerical zone, where such use is prohibited.
