ABERDEEN, NJ — Aberdeen Township’s Independence Day celebration will take place on Saturday, July 1 this year. The event will kick off at Fireman’s Field, located at the corner of Lloyd Rd. and Gerard Avenue, with the Annual Mayor’s Trophy Softball game. The Aberdeen Township Police Department and the Department of Public Works will battle it out on the field beginning at 6:30 p.m.
Once the game has ended, residents are invited to bring their chairs and blankets onto the field and get themselves settled for the fireworks display. This is a family-fun event including music by DJ Sway J. There will also be food vendors. Fireworks are set to go off at dusk.
If there happens to be inclement weather, the softball game and fireworks will be rescheduled for Monday, July 3.
