AMERICAN FLAG RETIREMENT

FLAG DAY JUNE 14th 2014
AMERICAN FLAG RETIREMENT
When an American flag is no longer fit for display it must not be thrown away. Instead there is a special flag disposal ceremony where the flag is burned in accordance with flag disposal protocol. Residents who have worn, faded or torn American flags are welcome to bring them to VFW Post 4745 on 699 Cliffwood Avenue at 12PM, Saturday June 14, 2014. The flags will be disposed in accordance with VFW procedures and the ashes will later be buried. The members of the Cliffwood VFW Guadalcanal Post 4745 would like to thank the Cliffwood Volunteer Fire Department and the Aberdeen Township Public Works Department for their assistance with our Flag Day ceremonies.
