SAYREVILLE, NJ — Sayreville Police say an Ocean County woman ran a network of unlicensed spas that were actually houses of prostitution, including in Sayreville.
Kelly Jahnke-Gonzalez, 44 of Jackson, was arrested May 12 and charged with four counts of promoting prostitution, maintaining a nuisance, money laundering and misconduct by a corporate official.
The Sayreville Police Dept. vice squad started investigating Jahnke-Gonzalez and her businesses in October 2025. All of them were spas and massage parlors operating under her name. Working with other law enforcement agencies, Sayreville Police say they put the spas under "extensive surveillance and undercover operations" and also analyzed her financial documents.
Sayreville Police say she managed numerous unlicensed spas being used for prostitution across Middlesex, Monmouth and Ocean counties.
She was arrested at her home in Jackson Twp. May 12, where police said they found more than $100,000 in hidden cash. Police also froze several of her bank accounts.
“The Sayreville Police Department remains steadfast in its commitment to identifying and dismantling criminal activity that exploits vulnerable individuals and negatively impacts the quality of life within our communities,” said Sayreville Police Chief Daniel Plumacker.
