New Cigar Lounge Now Open In Old Bridge

OLD BRIDGE, NJ — A new cigar lounge is now open in Old Bridge.

Leaf Cigar Emporium opened Aug. 24 at 343 Rt. 34 inside the Palm Plaza shopping center. They are located next to a dry cleaners and Nikki's hair salon.

This is their second location. There is an existing Leaf Cigar Emporium in Shrewsbury, where owner and founder John Garofalo said he's found success.

He now decided to expand to a second location in Old Bridge, where he opened a 900-square-foot, fully humidified showroom, according to a press release from the company.

The cigar lounge will have premium cigars, pipes and accessories, a very knowledgeable staff and welcoming lounges to sit and relax. It will be open 365 days a year. Here's their Facebook page: facebook.com/TheLeafCigarEmporium/

"We want to be part of the neighborhood," Garofalo said. "Some people stop in for a few minutes to pick up cigars. Others spend an hour catching up with friends or unwinding after work. We have customers who work from our lounge, customers celebrating milestones, and customers who simply want a place to slow down for a while. That's exactly what we hoped Leaf would become."

"The biggest competition today isn't another cigar shop," he continued. "It's online shopping. If all you're offering is a product on a shelf, people can order it from their phone and have it delivered tomorrow. What they can't order online is genuine hospitality, trusted advice, real conversation, and a place where people know their name."
