Artist in Residence Weekend at Temple Shalom

Cantor Ellen Dreskin at Temple Shalom March 27th and 28th

Temple Shalom, 5 Ayrmont Lane in Aberdeen, presents its Artist in Residence weekend with Cantor Ellen Dreskin. All members of the community are welcome to attend any or all of the weekend events.

The weekend starts on Friday evening, March 27th at 8:15 pm with a “Shabbat Worship in Song” service. Saturday morning services with Cantor Dreskin begin at 10:30 am and will consist of interactive, energy filled service and study, designed to engage adults and children. The afternoon includes a bagel lunch at noon; there is a $5 charge for the lunch. Lunch will be followed by an adult learning program: “The Glamour in the Grammar: a Little Hebrew Can Go a Long Way!”

Cantor Dreskin’s Saturday evening’s concert begins at 8:00 pm and features the Temple Shalom Choir, and Temple Shalom Youth Choir. The concert, “M’laveh Malkah: Stories and Songs for the Coming Week”, is an informal, folk- oriented, participatory evening. Tickets will be available in advance or at the door at $25 per adult and $10 per child.
