Assault at Apts. Near Aberdeen Train Station
A man said he was assaulted Tuesday at the Aberdeen apt. complex, needing stitches, and other Matawan police blotter news.

ABERDEEN TOWNSHIP, NJ - On Tuesday of this week, a man said he was assaulted by two men at the Apartments at Aberdeen Station, the rental apartment complex near the Matawan/Aberdeen train station. The man, from Sayreville, told police he assaulted by two black male subjects while he was visiting the apartment complex. He needed stitches, Aberdeen Police Chief John Powers told Patch.
The two males fled on foot. Matawan officers and a K-9 from the Monmouth County Sheriff’s Office assisted with a search of the area, but the individuals could not be located. The Sayreville man was treated and released from Bayshore Community Hospital.

- On December 7 a resident of Marlboro reported that someone entered her vehicle while she was shopping at the Shop Rite store on Lloyd Rd. and stole several personal items.
- On December 10 a resident of Church St. reported that someone entered his home the previous evening and took cash.
- P.O. Jessica McDougall responded to a report of suspicious persons on Beaver Place on December 12.
