Bird Dropped Fish On Power Line, Causing Outage, Sayreville PD Says
A large section of Sayreville lost electric power Saturday after none other than a bird dropped a fish on a transformer.
SAYREVILLE, NJ — A large section of Sayreville lost electric power Saturday after none other than a bird dropped a fish on a transformer.
This is according to Sayreville Police, who said the area's local electric prover, JCP&L, reported that they found a destroyed fish on a power line transformer.
"How did a FISH get up there??? We have a hypothesis. We are guessing a bird dropped it as it flew over. Power should be out for a few hours while repairs are made," police posted to Facebook. "Only in Sayreville folks, only in Sayreville."
