Body Of Dead Man Discovered On Sailboat At Sandy Hook

A State Police officer was quoted as saying the death was not "overtly suspicious."

The body of a dead man was found on a sailboat that ran aground Thursday at a beach on Sandy Hook, police said.

State police Sgt. Jeff Flynn said employees at Sandy Hook noticed the sailboat drifting off-shore before 5 p.m. Thursday, and then run aground, according to The Asbury Park Press.

A lone man was found on the boat, and he was unresponsive. The cause of the man’s death is not known, according to The Asbury Park Press.
