Jake's Broken Heart

Jake, a Labrador retriever mix, had a good life until the unthinkable happened. His loyal owner and best friend fell ill and could no longer take care of him. With his heart breaking, the owner tried everything to find someone to take care of his beloved companion.  He reached out to everyone he knew and did his best to find sweet Jake a home.  When all else failed, Jake’s owner called the Castle of Dreams and asked if they could help find a home for his best friend.

Jake has been with his owner his whole life and never lived with children so would probably do best in a home without young kids. He would do best as an only dog. Jake loves going for walks and for rides in the car. Very calm, Jake just likes to hang out with his family.  Jake is 6 years old, 65 lbs., neutered, house trained, and up to date on vaccinations. All he needs is a new family that will love him as much as his present owner. 

His owner’s heart is breaking as he worries what will happen to Jake if someone doesn’t step up soon.  This dog has been the whole world to his owner and now, too sick to care for Jake, he’s trying to do what’s best for his beloved companion.
