“VOICES AGAINST VIOLENCE” AND HOW SINGERS/MUSICIANS ARE HELPING!

Voices Against Violence is a new grassroots campaign started by singer Tony Bennett, and his manager/son Danny.  Artists traditionally have been in the vanguard of social and cultural change.

 If you support the outlawing of private ownership of assault weapons, and are in favor of more rigorous background checks, please text "MYVOICE" to 877877.  Once you text, you will get a call back in Tony Bennett’s voice with quick instructions, and you're connected directly to a senate office. Please share this with others.

I’m asking singers and musicians to send the above paragraph to their FB and email fan base, and suggest it be re-posted/shared. This text will easily deliver tens of thousands of calls to key senate offices. (Even our soldiers undergo background checks before entering the military.) We must move quickly on this as the bill is being debated.

To further honor the goal, I’ve suggested that performers include a song about non-violence, healing, or peace in their set lists.  Thank you very much.
