Burglary on Sweetbriar Street in Aberdeen, Woman Reports

Police say they arrested two suspects; the woman said one had a gun but he was not charged for it.

Aberdeen, NJ - A home was broken into on Sweetbriar Street in Aberdeen late Saturday night, and police said they arrested the two suspects.

At approximately 2:15 a.m. on Sunday, police responded to a call about a robbery at a Sweetbriar St. residence. The 21-year-old woman who lived there resident said she found the two men in her home, and one threatened her with a handgun and fled with a backpack and a wallet. The backpack and wallet did not belong to her; they belonged to another resident.

With the assistance from Monmouth County Sheriff’s Officer Kurt Kroeper and his K-9 partner Skye, officers were led to a home on Center St., where the backpack and wallet were recovered. Makiya Ceasar, 18, of Center St., Aberdeen, and Kollen D. Hawkins, 19, of Walker Ave., Union, were charged in connection with a robbery.

Ceasar was charged with conspiracy to commit robbery and bail was set at $75,000 with no 10% option. Hawkins was charged with robbery and bail was set at $100,000 with no 10% option.
